5. Agree. Keyes is one of those candidates I could easily picture
enjoying carnal relations with farm animals.

Not that such whimsy holds primacy in my daily schedule.

Keyes represents that always-repellent mix of public relations whore and far-right propagandist that send U.S. voters to the polls to vote Democratic.

8. But Newt has unstabilized our entire government.
Keyes is a nut no one takes seriously, but Newt has true believers following his neo-fascist plans.

9. Hey there, you. Yep. Newt is a drastic, authoritarian type for sure.
Petty and fussy and authoritarian.

Real bad combo.

6. While Newt's an appealing choice, Tancredo and Brownback are my choices

7. It would take a torrent of psychotropic medication to get Tancredo to feed himself.
Agree with you -- he's really questionable.

Also on Brownback: he might be even worse than Tancredo, if that's possible. Brownback LOOKS normal.

25. Hey ya there, TC.
Nice to see ya today, and a happy Sunday, too.

Brownback really is the one who gives me the super creeps. Well, they all do, but on given days, no one's in Brownbacks' league.

Flawlessly garbed, every hair in place, natty and courteous to boot.

But underneath that facade lurks the heart and mind of Jim Jones.

An absolute nutcase vampire scorched-earth fascist.

10. Oh God is he running now?
:eyes:

Personally though it is Fred Thompson that is currently irking me the most. I live near a "Model Red county" (Series! Featured on Faux Noose as such) and they are all about Fred '08.

I don't understand how anyone can vote for another Republican in 08. At this point that party should just be disbanded. Fred '08....:puke:...

Trust Repugs to vote for that Law and Order guy...

run for high office?

He's dispiriting to even watch, let alone listen to.

ticket:

Gingrich-Hunter.

What do you think?

Two wackos on one ticket.

20. A warm howdy right back, SalmonChantedEvening.
That's their slogan. Newt and Dunk out on the campaign trail!

Stand aside, everyone, they take large steps! (as the line from the musical goes)

A frightening, macabre, pathetic pack of candidates the GOP has lined up for 08.

I hate to be overconfident, but the trendlines sure are encouraging.

22. When Huckabee is your Sane Guy you know it's going poorly
I had a talk this past friday with a (no this is not a misprint) well mannered and truly interested conservative who wanted to know what I thought of the candidates on both sides. I was politely merciless in my opinions, and wordy enough that I never got to the Dems.

His wife asked about Ron Paul, calling HIM the loony one. I was stunned into ignoring what she said. Go Duncan Hunter, and Ron Paul is the nutcase?

I have since cancelled my plans to re-evaluate my priorities in life. ;)

24. You are brave to venture across enemy lines like that, and more to the
point, I honor your stamina against GOP operatives and supporters.

Ron Paul doesn't play the GOP country club game, so maybe that's why he ruffles so many feathers over there on the red team. Hard to tell where they're getting their strong points on the other candidates, though. At least Paul and Hagel are right on the war.

You appear to have shown remarkable restraint in the face of total cluelessness. No easy trick.

Great post.

26. Sometimes it can be impossible to maintain lol
This guy did make it easy, he thanked me for a glimpse at a different perspective than he's used to and once we got into the pub (hubboy usually applies here) the sports on TV and musician talk (he's a bassist and I drum, or so they keep telling me) pushed the politics mostly to the back burner.

He works with a lifelong friend, and that was to him an 'any friend of his is a friend of mine' thing. Coolness.

I usually go for the funny bone first, and that leaves the jugular undefended

muaha and haha and etc. ;)

Praise indeed sir, I thank you

17. You people don't know a good Aqua Velva man when you see one.
You gotta remember, the folks who think Fred is cute and cuddly tend to have electrified fences around their property and think a lock of Hilter's hair is a perfect wedding present.

of the modern-day Republican voter.

It's gonna be a frosty day in Satan's kitchen when I start seeing Fred Thompson as cute and cuddly!!

21. Newt Gingrich appears to enjoy an early lead so far in the poll.
Many 'OTHER' choices have been named, and all appear to be worthy contenders for "Most Unstable."
