Poll question: In Light Of Ahmadinejad 's Remarks Have You Ever Met A Gay Iranian?
I knew one who used to spin records at the Zodiac lounge in Daytona Beach...That and the Pandoras Box were the only gay clubs in Daytona Beach in the early 80's... He had come here to study on a student visa ... I doubt he went back.

4. Your poll is only valid in Iran...
What does it matter here? Try taking this poll in Iran where it matters.

11. I Didn't Know Sexuality Changes With Location
I suspect if someone's gay in Laramie, Wyoming that same person would be gay in Tehran, Iran....

I don't think the disc jockey I knew became gay when he moved to Daytona Beach...

28. It doesn't
I thought he said their were no gays in Iran. So your poll, asking about anyone knowing gay Iranians, only applies to those in Iran. See what I mean?

31. sorry you feel that way
the US deals with horrible people everyday and in facts prop them up to create instablity, the US is responsable for so many horrible things both directly and indirectly that the fact that one country with a small population is under a thriving economy, unfortunatly some of the citizenry are dispised by the religious political orginization is very unfortunate. The fact that people are now bringing this up and making it a talking point is furthering the war talk agenda, we should dispose of him because of what he does, what about africa? people are dying of neglect in the MILLIONS, what about saudi which is like IRAN on meth, what about alot of S american countries where the gov is more of a suggestion. What i'm saying is that it sucks to be gay or a women in iran, what sucks even more is if this issue supercedes all the other unfortunate events happening now and gets us into another war. What do you propose we do to combat this terrible affliction and horrible dictator? I propose we concentrate on ourselves first before calling the kettle black.

in fact i deplore it, but thats all were gonna do unless you want to get into another quagmire and play kingmaker. and my point is that unless all were gonna do is talk about how awful it is all we are gonna do is play into the war mongers hands and give them excuses to attack.

To answer your question, I have only met two Iranians (one of whom is actually Iranian-American) and as far as I know, neither was gay. The one who was actually from Iran was Jewish, so any blanket statement about Muslims will not apply to him.
