Clinton rips right wing for ‘feigned outrage’ over MoveOn ad.

In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, President Bill Clinton said there was something “completely disingenuous about the feigned outrage” from conservatives over the MoveOn ad. Clinton noted that many of the same conservatives who expressed outrage had likened Sen. Max Cleland (D-GA) to Osama bin Laden and had smeared Sen. John Kerry’s (D-MA) war record. He added:

It was just bait and switch. It was just, oh thank goodness, I can take this little word here and ignore what we’ve done in Iraq and what we’re gonna do — and the outrageous way we gained political power by smearing John Kerry.

Watch it at link~

The House today voted to condemn the MoveOn ad — a full 16 days after it first appeared in the New York Times. The full interview with Clinton airs tonight on CNN at 10 pm EST.

2. I don't understand how the Move On resolution ever got to the
floor with the Democrats in the majority. It should never have happened.

3. Before the debate on the Defense Appropriations bill...
the Dems and Republicans made an agreement that each side would be allowed 5 amendments to the floor, all of which had to garner at least 60 votes to pass. The Republicans, instead of being serious about war funding chose to use one of their alloted 5 for this bogus amendment.

That's how it happened. That's what the Democrats get for trusting Republicans.

Once again I say I don't understand. Shouldn't it be obvious by now that you can't give the GOP opening because you'll wind up this kind of stupidity. The same thing goes for the Iran war resolution. It should have died in committee.

I can only assume that the Democratic leadership in both the house and senate are incompetent and need to be replaced.

7. I live in Georgia, and wrote Senator Chambliss....
hoping he actually reads it...because, if he did, he's walking around with an extra anus himself. I ripped him for voting to censure moveon.org for the ad, and voting against the amendment that censured HIM for his despicable ad he ran against Max Cleland...reminded him that he dodged Vietnam by claiming "bad knees" that he goes jogging on every day. I requested a response from him. I'm still waiting.

"Thank you for your continued support and approval of my actions"

9. Clinton's Passion Is Something To Study
This man is an excellent communicator cause he throws a lot of passion into what he says and how he says it. That video is classic Clinton...as you can feel his anger and outrage, just not hear it. Too bad he's a voice in the wilderness in these maddening times.

But note how the corporate media presented his comments..."Clinton's anger" and "Clinton's revenge"...they totally miss the hypocrisy or the irony because they're so complicit in participating and profiting from the smears. Look at how many dollars the Slime Boaters and other Bob Perry and Mellon-Scaiffe funded attacks make for the networks. Maybe if MoveOn spent as much, we'd have a different narrative.

13. Yes, it was outrageous Bill.
And plenty of Democrats voted right along with the Republicans...which is equally outrageous.
