Why are we hearing about ALL the vulnerabilites on the border, electrical grid, etc.

Why are we hearing about ALL the vulnerabilites on the border, electrical grid, etc.
Are 'they' setting us up for something, or guiding terrarists? Government blowing up generators, see how easy? Cross the border with radioactive materials?

It's all I hear on CNN these days (when I happen to turn the channel on) :wtf:

I see the school admin and the fire department here have both just installed backup systems.

3. I noticed the same thing...
Could the fact that provisions of the Patriot Act were declared unconstitutional yesterday have anything to do with the revelations of power grid risks today? Hmmm. Let's see, Computers have been around a while, so that's not new. Hacking has been around a while, so that's not new either. Computers controlling power plants and other machinery? No, not new. Patriot Act unconstitutional? Oh yea, that's pretty new. I don't know....

6. They don't want you to give up your fear! Must be constantly afraid; if the
Iraqi terrorists don't follow you home, then the big bad Chinese are going to crash the stock market or plunge the country into darkness. Oh, and don't forget that the hordes of Mexicans are coming to rob you too.
