4. Get us immigration visas
We'll contribute socially. We already work hard. We're not the redneck idiots that come to some minds when the word "American" is said.

Help us...

Hell, some of us already speak several languages...

I love most Canadians, our wonderful neighbors to the North, but this just makes me ill.

Look out Peso! You're up next!

there. Will miss their visits...and their coins..since now that Canadian coin is worth more than mine!!!

13. You've got that backwards
They are crossing the border in record numbers to visit us with their dollar worth so much. We on the other hand are no longer going up there. My in-laws live in Montreal and we've really noticed the decline in value of our money up there.

I'm just waiting for a clerk in a store to see a US 25 cent piece I hand them by accident and give me a dirty look plus a "what the hell is this?". Kind of like I get when the opposite happens.

5. I'm eating crow now
I used to bug them about how many cents was the dollar up there worth. Well, thanks to the stupidest economic policy in US history, ruining the strength of the dollar, it won't be long now until the lira and yen reach par, too.

How many other safe investments earn that much?

Canadian Home Depot parking lots looking to make a couple of long Canadian dollars doing day labor.

23. Already there's talk of beefing up border security
The media showed how easy it was to smuggle nuclear material from Canada to the USA. Could be the start of a hyping campaign to build a wall on the Canadian border.

18. I should be crying....
but I sank most my investments into Canadian income trusts a couple years ago to capitalize on the commodities boom and the 15% div tax rate. Was'nt counting on the added bonus of the exchange rate moving in my favor...

...crying for America while laughing in the bank.. its all nuts. I need a drink

19. How ironic.
All these years living with leftover Canadian currency and vending machines that wouldn't accept Canadian coins. I see a market opening up for those same machines in Canada now. An American quarter with George Washington on it is rejected. Loonies rule! All those leftover Loonies and Twonies I have. And they have beautiful currency, not based on dead presidents (fascist), like in the U.S., but nature.

OK, so at what point do we abolish the FED, the private group of banks that control our money?

Seriously, how will it affect us? How did the Canadians manage to live all these years when their dollar was worth less?

24. I agree. Actually it makes more sense.
Subjectively, Canada deserves to have a higher valued dollar, IMO. I don't think it's bad for the U.S. economy. Now if Mexico would get on the bandwagon we'd be set.

That's the lowest point since 1970.

Let's all thank Bush for this wondrous economy!
