Should I put it on my front bumper or my back bumper? I wonder about reactions as I live in a very Red county in very Red state. We did turn purple with the '06 elections, however. There is hope.

there was a photo of the owner with shrub. I don't put bumper stickers on my car anymore. Everywhere else, but not on my car. Actually I go to demonstrations and hold signs.

a car who was a repuke but then I realized the seriousness of what was happening to our Country I found a mechanic who was a Dem..none of my money goes to bushenablers.

And when I do drive, I have one of the most kick-ass cars in the World,

I have been so tempted....

I have this Honda CRV to drive down the hill to the grocery/dry cleaners.

And I have a (2006) Porsche Carerra GT to go wherever I want.

But I prefer to walk.

NortherSun.com sells bumpersticker sized magnets.

I use them to switchout stickers as the headlines dictate.

(not the DU one, though.. that one stays until it fades, then I replace it with a shiny new one)

the glue and wood stuff usually.

Then just stick the sticker to the magnet, and voila!

I would think we would see more of them out on the road. Wouldn't that be a beautiful sight?

I don't know why, except that just seems to be the DU thing.

I have taped bumper stickers inside my car windows for years. For one thing, it means I can remove some or all of them when parking my car in certain places. I've recommended this to DUers in the past. For another, I can change them when I want to.

Unfortunately my new car's rear window has a small viewing area compared to my Camry wagon, and I don't want to obscure it any more than it already is.

but if someone saw this would they even have knowledge about DU? just asking.

When people see it they'll likely ask what DU is, then that gives you the opportunity to tell them. Not to mention, since it says "Democraticunderground.com", anybody familiar with the WWW can simply Google it and find out if they don't feel like asking.

on the cover of my notebook, one is on the back of a busy street sign :evilgrin: , I gave one away, and I'm pretty sure there's another one in a unpacked box somewhere in the back of the closet.

One is tacked to my workspace wall (and there also resides one of my two "Impeach Cheney?" caps) ... the other is (taped) to the back window of my car (I'm loath to actually *stick* a sticker to my new car).

I have several...actually my family does...

One is on my car, another is next to the "scrapbooker onboard" sticker on my wife's car, another is on my son's car (he keeps it inside his back window...he travels into "red" areas) and a fourth one graces "the toy room"



I've gotten several question and compliments on that sticker...

My sticker is on my car, of course. I wore another one to the protest in DC two weekends ago.

I've donated twice and never gotten a sticker. I figured it was okay, though, and the money's better spent here.

Those things are incredibly strong and do more damage to anything hitting the bumper than gets damage done to the bumper.

I figure it's one less piece of pollution that has to be trucked to me.

Let me preface this by saying my husband is not all there anymore. Car accident, brain damage.

Anyhoo we were at Lenox Mall, just wandering about to get out of the house awhile - looking how the other half lives. We were getting back in the van to go home and dear husband pulls the extra DU sticker out of the glovebox and before I can stop him, runs over and slaps the sucker on a bigass SUV with a "W" sticker in the back window. Less than one minute later, while I'm sitting there giving hubby what for and telling him how wrong it is to vandalize someone else's car, Saxby walks right behind my van and get's into the bigass SUV with my DU sticker now on it.

I've always wondered how long that thing lasted.

I would have loved to see his face when he got where he was going. I wonder if he spotted it before some apparatchik got it? Or how far he had driven?. . Or if anyone drove by and recognized him, and then saw the sticker?
