I viewed those comments as a swipe against Obama as well since the Rove machine has tried to paint him as a Muslim terraist for months now. McCain is so freaking desparate these days.

2. Almost All The Callers Denounced The Article
I was surprised that as many Repugnicans shot this down...maybe all the bible thumpers are in church.

One asshat claimed the Pilgrims didn't come here due to religious repression...or how about the Quakers or Catholics in Maryland? However, one lady pointed the discrepency between this country being "founded" on christian "principals" and judeo-christian "principals". According to my lifelong knowledge of Judaism, they still don't believe in a "second comming" (most are waiting for the first one) or that "Jesus is their personal savior".

Hopefully people are starting to wake up to how "religious" politicians like boooosh have screwed up this country and the world...how their "certainty" in their faith makes them incapable of being a leader of ALL the people.

McCain is just another panderer...doing whatever he can to win the primary. So now how do all those "straight-talkers" who thought McCain was some "breath of fresh air" in 2000 feel about him now?
