Anita Hill responds to Thomas' latest assault...

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/02/opinion/02hill.html

In a NYTimes OpEd Anita Hill responds to Clarence Thomas' latest assault on her character and veracity. Quite effectively, and quite convincingly. She now has the witnesses and documents to back her up. Thomas it would seem must be adjudged a liar.

I wonder, is lying under oath at a confirmation hearing grounds to have a Justice tossed ou on his ass? It won't happen of course, our fearless leadership in Congress (they whose names must not be spoken) cannot even deal with a simpleton Toady Atty General, so asking more of them would be futile, and reflect badly upon our own judgement.

THIS GODDAM MESS HAS GOT TO END!

4. And somebody else had on a shirt that said "she lied" IIRC
That was indeed a great show, although towards the end of the run, I thought some of Julia's rants were for the purpose of ranting, and not saying much.

2. Thomas and his wife were on GMA yesterday
And to watch his wife sniffling about the *horror* of the Hill investigation made me want to vomit. I hope Ms. Hill gets another, more thorough shot at making him look like the pig he is. :grr:

3. 3 other women who did not know each other all told of sexual ....
.... harassment and lewd behavior by Judge Thomas too. The senate did
not call any of those women.

Thomas, Roberts, Allito, & Scallia festering boils on America.

5. Clarence Thomas came across as one angry, vindictive, arrogant
man who hates the world on 60 Minutes.

And those were his good qualities.

6. The Supreme Court-Another Institution destroyed by Bushism
Clarence Thomas should step down now due to his continuing contempt for the institution he is supposed to serve. Judicial temperament has gone AWOL with this highly political right wing group that rules the court.

7. Clearly this man is a disgrace to the Supreme Court
And anyone who believes his lies about Anita Hill is delusional. Facts are facts. The senators involved with her character assassination may as well have been judges at the Salem Witch Trials. Their behavior disgusts me to this day.

11. Actually which justice in recent years appointed by a republican
could be considered an honest, just and uncorrupted man. Look at Scalia...I rest my case.

9. The Nine
I've been noticing Jeffrey Toobin on CNN who wrote The Nine about the Supreme Court. Yesterday he commented that the most thorough research available confirms that Anita Hill was indeed being truthful when she testified before Congress. Toobin noted that Thomas is still extremely bitter about those hearings. Incidentally, Toobin has also revealed that Thomas even thinks the New Deal was unconstitutional! Our country can't stand any more of this low calibre of appointments to the Supreme Court. The Democrats must win the W.H. in '08.

10. As a constituent of Senator Arlen Specter,
I would like to remind everyone of his central role in enabling Clarence Thomas' lies and giving the nation this "Justice."

13. Arlen Specter
As I recall, Senator Specter was the one who breathed new life into Senator Larry Craig's hopes to keep his seat after the bathroom sting in Minneapolis. He does seem to be awfully "forgiving" of sexual transressions, doesn't he?
