No matter what the question is, Rudy says 9/11

For Rudy Giuliani, 9/11 is the answer. To almost anything, it seems.

After all, it's why America fell in love with him on that darkest of days, when the mayor was the only person on TV reassuring the nation. It's why he's the Republican front-runner for President.

"For me, every day is an anniversary of Sept. 11," he said in Florida last month.

Giuliani wastes no opportunity to bring up 9/11 on the campaign trail. Sometimes, it looks like a stretch.

Here is "Jeopardy, the Giuliani Edition," where 9/11 is always the answer, but the questions may surprise you:

WHY DID YOU FLIP ON GUN CONTROL?

"There are some major intervening events - Sept. 11 - which cast somewhat of a different light on the Second Amendment."

- Giuliani's September speech to the NRA

WHY DID YOU INTERRUPT THAT SPEECH TO TAKE A CALL FROM JUDI?

"Since Sept. 11, most of the time when we get on a plane we talk to each other and just reaffirm the fact that we love each other"

- September interview with CBN News

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF BUILDING A FENCE ON THE BORDER?

"I support security at the borders. I think security is enormously important in the post-Sept. 11 period. I think we have to know who's coming into this country."

February interview with Fox News

WHAT'S WITH THAT FLAG ON YOUR LAPEL?

"Each time I wear it, it reminds me of Sept. 11."

- July rally in Wilmington, Del.

“No speech about homeland security or Iraq should begin without a reference to 9/11 ....

“If you describe it simply as a ‘preemptive action,’ some Americans will carry deep reservations about the rightness of the cause. Americans are conditioned to think that hitting first is usually wrong .... By far, the better word to use than ‘preemption’ is ‘PREVENTION ’ ....”

Frank Luntz, June, 2004, Republican Talking Points Manual

It just looks like Rudy has a broad interpretation of "homeland security or Iraq".

2. I wonder if there's a psychological term for this. I also wonder just
how close to the truth this may actually be for him in his daily life, and in how he would conduct a presidency. Does every last thing have a 9/11 component or symbolism, or connection for him? Seriously, think of the implication if this is a psychic scar that he carries, and which actually does taint everthing in his life. My assumption has been that he simply uses 9/11 for the speaking money and now for campaigning. What if it's deeper than that?

8. I don't care. And neither do the dead or the dying.
Fuck him for capitalizing on leaving New York vulnerable and for screwing the first responders who worked tirelessly to retrieve the remains of their brothers

Fuck him..

13. I'm not trying to drum up some kind of sympathy for him!! Far from it.
At best I think he's a skunk of a weasel. What I'm getting at is the possibility that a deranged person (or another deranged person) could be heading to the White House.

4. I think he's about as popular with Republicans
as Hillary is with Democrats. More bullshit polls. We'll see how the primaries turn out. McCain seems like the logical pick to me.

21. If he wasn't circling the drain I might agree
But McCain is tanking in the polls hard and barely has the money to have a shoestring campaign, forget getting the nod.

24. Anyone ever see the Family Guy episode where Louis runs for mayor?
Her answer to every question is 9/11...very similar to Rudy. People cheer every time she says it.

There is something very sick with how easily they can exploit the events of that day. Nothing is beyond these freaks.
