1. You read DU
you'll live :-)

And incoherent babble cannot be summed up. It sure was good entertainment. Any of the dems would hand them their behind in a debate methinks.

2. 3 of them think the Earth is 6,000 years old, 3 of them want to ban thong bathing suits,
ALL of them want to institute the death penalty for women who take the pill, and 4 of them are wearing superhero underwear. Fred Thompson's (The Flash) is on the outside of his pants.

3. I'm watching it 5 minutes, and I hate it already.
Maybe I can find a rerun of the Flintstones somewhere.....

4. to sum up the 30 minutes i watched--Thompson is really lazy, it looked like he
was using all of his energy stores to just be able to stand there for 2 hours, Romney and Guiliani had an alpha dog off and McCain tried desperately to keep himself relevant. Paul is still nuts imo but made sense and the others---who?

5. GOP debates summed up...
1) peace is evil
2) all taxes are evil
3) all liberals are evil
4) social responsibility is evil
5) government is evil
6) massive federal debt is good
7) war is good
8) domestic spying is good
9) hatred is good
10) ignorance is good

Pretty much sums it up.

but a good start! Thanks. I'm gonna "read" Krugman's new book (on tape). So far it's great. I HIGHLY recommend it. (I've been off political books for a couple of months. I think I burned out...I've read them all (except those released in the last couple of months) so maybe I'm liking this so much as a change. I also need to listen (read) someone who will defend the Dems. At least the party I remember.)

6. There was a really good Andy Griffith Show rerun tonight. Watch that instead.
A really early one, where Barney first had to admit his love for Thelma Lou. Much better for you in every way than the bull of the GOP debate.

The more I see these debates, the more I realize that Dick Cheney ain't gonna go for any of these guys. That aside, there is more to life:http://www.decaturdaily.com/decaturdaily/livingtoday/071001/mayberry.shtml

7. From what I heard, the big story was: Fred managed to maintain his continence throughout.
So he won. Or at least didn't lose.
