Dobson more principled than Democrats?
In an episode of repugnantcans eating their own, Hannity was imploring Dobson to support the repug ticket, even if it ends up being Giuliani. Dobson states 'I don’t believe that Giuliani can beat Hillary in the first place,” he said. Giuliani has a bad track record, said Dobson. “I’ve lived my life on principle… now is not the time to bail out in the hope that somebody will be better than we think he’ll be.'

Now I don't believe Dobson would know what principle was if it bit him on his pasty flabby ass. However when he says, 'now is not the time to bail out in the hope that somebody will be better than we think he’ll be' he has Democrats beat. How many Democrats voted with Bush, hoping he would be better than they know him to be? How many Democrats are still voting with Bush, hoping against hope that this time he'll be guided by compassion and what is good for the common man and not his base? Hell, Pelosi says she is praying for bush, hoping he will be better than all of us know him to be. In this instance, as much as I hate to say it, Dobson may have more principle that our current gutless, spineless Democrats.

2. LOL!
Dobson principled? Or just pissed that he can't throw his weight around as much this year?

I couldn't care less if Nancy Pelosi says she prays for bushco. It's meaningless. How do you know she's not praying for him to not bomb Iran?

Quite a broadbrush attack on the dems. Without, of course, anything but the attack.

3. Principles don't have to be positive.
You can be an insane, lying, sack of shit demagogue and stick to your principles by remaining an insane, lying, sack of shit demagogue.

9. Isn't whining a Republican specialty, though?
I think my 4 year old daughter is more mature most of the time.

The eventual winning candidate, however, will just throw a bone or two to Dobson, pat him on the head, and the evangelicals will line up for the Republican nominee.

7. My hope is that the Pubbies are going to pay the piper for their unholy alliance with the Christian
wingnuts and leftover Dixiecrats in 2008.

8. Then Dobson shouldn't support Romney or Thompson, either
since both have (at best) less than clear records on abortion, a key issue to Dobson.
