CNN slowly learns that there are "inner city" ;-) kids who excel
Home watching this unfold over the last few hours. The Cleveland school shooting.

Not that I know that much about schools but from the name of the school it was clear at least to me that this was a magnate or charter-type school. Specializing in math and tech type stuff.

CNN started off talking about the shooting in the VIOLENT city of Cleveland while completely missing the oddity of a school shooting in an urban area.

Oh the kid had a Marilyn Manson shirt on!!!
Then they learned that this was NOT a school for troubled teens (did they SEE the video of the place? Troubled kids don't get a building like that they get stuck in trailers and way off site out of sight places)

He was goth.

This was ACTUALLY a school for advanced kids. Gee, who knew they had any of those in Cleveland?

Pretty much everyone could see this coming. EVERYONE.

You have to APPLY to get into this school. Imagine that a good "inner city" ;-) school and the parents actually care about their future. Who knew?

Then they went to where were the security guards.

Now they are on "where were the metal detectors?"

Uhoh turns out the parents were kicking and screaming about security for a LONG time.

2. Reminds me a little of O'Reilly's reaction to his dining experience at Sylvia's
They really need to get out more. All of them.

4. LOL
the post AND the picture... too funny.

I noticed that NBC dispatched Lester Holt to cover the story. I didn't understand why until I saw the video footage. Oh yeah the old media thing about only sending a black guy to cover "black" stories.

(looks at watch) Hey look it IS the 21st Century!!!

5. Glad you like it
It was my first attempt at photoshopping (with paintdotnet). My hubby, Admiral Loinpresser, suggested it and evlbstrd gave me some hints on how to do it.

Yeah, the media has really gone down hill. It really boogles the mind. My nephew thought I was a little weird because I'm so critical of the media. At first he said that watching TV with me was like watching MST3K because of all my criticisms. Now he's doing it. I feel proud. He's questioning what he sees and he's becoming more informed.
