Let me guess: Next GOP debate, the student shooting in Cleveland will be blamed on:

Hollywood, rap music, & the adult-film industry....See, it's very easy to predict crazy righties response to such tragedies...So I'll call it now, next debate, that smug SOB Mitt Romney will say: "We need to clean up Hollywood, get rid of porn, get rid of Howard Stern, as this is why we have school shootings"....

And to all that, I say "F" you....Student shootings have alot more to do with BULLYING, abusive parents at home, drug/alcohol issues, and/or mental disorders, it's NOT a MEDIA thing....Social conservatives always make the entertainment industry the scapegoat for all the worlds' problems, they always make school violence a First Amendment issue as opposed to a SECOND amendment issue....

If even NPR is playing up the music angle, then I can only imagine how hard the yellow journalists at CNN, Fox, etc. are screaming. :-(

I haven't been able to locate historical records concerning school shootings and/or records of gun violence committed by juveniles. It would be interesting to see the statistics from 1900 til 2007. Is this a new phenomena or is it just being reported nationally more?
As for the reasons why? I wish I knew. What makes a kid take someone else's life so easily? Why is life so cheap to these kids? We had an incident in Nashville the other day in which a 14 year old boy killed a store owner because she wouldn't sell him "loose cigarettes" (rather than a whole pack).
Times have changed I suppose, don't trust anyone UNDER 30!
