11. No worries
Actually, you may not have assumed wrongly. I often change gender, age, sexual orientation, race, etc. to whomever I feel is the most repressed at the time. :D

12. Do we really want Gore to become corrupted by politics.
Gore is able to get his message out because he is completely free. If he were to run again, he would have to start campaigning and making promises to special interests and trying his hardest to appear "mainstream" whatever that means. Al Gore making documentaries and going on the talk shows and making books might be the best way to get his message out, so he doesn't have to comprimise himself with politics. Compare the Al Gore of Today to the Political Al Gore of 2000. There is a huge difference.

13. I think that if there is ANYONE now that can fix the mess it is in, it would be he!
Edited on Sun Oct-14-07 05:50 AM by calipendence
If he feels too intimidated by the state of corruption that is in Washington now, then that's a sign that I'm not sure ANYONE can fix it! That is why I think we need to continue to push him. Otherwise, I think it's time to move to Canada or some other country that listened to our lessons of democracy better than we have!

I feel like we're in kind of like a situation I was hired for when someone hired me as a store detective many years back. They hired me specifically because I didn't ask for it or seek it out like others had. I guess the manager was too paranoid about getting those in that "want" to do that type of work that would be there just to scam the system. For the same reasons, I want someone like Gore. I think if he's pushing it away because he's not wanting to get swallowed up by it, I think all the more reason we want to push him into it and tell him that we have his back to stop the BS from coming down on him while he makes it safe again for the Mr. Smiths to go back to Washington! It's a sign that he doesn't want to scam us and be two faced about it. It's a sign that we can TRUST him I think!

15. The huge difference,
is in our perception of him due to less and different filtering of him in the MSM. He's always been this committed, ever since he was elected to Congress in 1976 and began hearings on climate change.

The idea that he didn't push the environment in 2000 is an urban myth. That is pure MSM bullshit. When I encountered that meme a couple of years ago I did a little research. I read his campaign announcement in Carthage, his acceptance speech at the Dem convention and a prepresentative stump speech. Global warming was prominent in all three. For example, in his acceptance speech, global warming was the second issue mentioned (first was the economy, of course). So even at a time when the public *wasn't* paying attention (i.e. before Katrina and his movie), he was fighting the good fight.

21. Well, I will tell you this. The ones constantly pushing him here don't care what he wants.
Which makes their begging all the more pathetic.
