Question about possible Republican strategy ...

I'm outside the country, but for people with more of a finger on the pulse....

If Al Gore entered the campaign, would it be a pretty sure bet he'd get the nomination?

And if Al did get the nomination, with the Republicans looking at a surefire landslide defeat, would they have the audacity to give Ron Paul the nomination?

1. My take . . .

First, to get the nomination, he would have to take it away from Hillary. She is waaaaaaaaaaaay out in front right now, and would fight tooth and nail. And, who could blame her?

Second, the Repubs would never run Ron Paul. It just won't happen.
