What is REALLY the diff. between Mi. primary votes not being recognized
for THIS primary and say Pa. votes really ot counting when they held their primary in July? I've been thinking about this spat between Mi, Fl, etc and the DNC over violation of the rule letting Iowa and NH hold the first primaries. I lived in Pa. for 47 years, and I remember how frustrating it was that the candidate was already chosen by the time my State held it's Primary. SOME States even had their Primary later than PA did! I don't see ANY difference for the MI or FL or whatever other States are insisting that they violate the rules they agreed to for their primary dates.

1. It's being officially disenfranchised as opposed to being marginalized
because you're voting near last. Other than that, it's the same thing.

2. everyone agreed toplay by the rules
and not have any primary before NH. Michigan and florida chose to violate that rule. They could have easily changed their primary dates to just after SC and been fine.

Not to mention the fact that if florida and Michigan change their way of choosing delegates to a caucus from primary, they will be within the rules and get to keep their delegates.

IMHO we need to adopt either the California or Delaware plan for choosing our candidate at the DNC in 2008.
