The Nightmare Scenario

When: 9 November 2008

Where: Office Of The Vice President Of The United States Of America ultra top secret bunker in an undisclosed location.

On the agenda: “What do we do now?”

The secure telecommunications information networks are reporting the results of the counting of the vote in the national elections. Not only are the numbers pointing to the predicted results, the worst case had come to pass. The incoming Vice President who is to take the oath of office in the next month will be Dennis Kucinch.

“What do we do now, what do _I_ do?” asks the man sitting behind the desk. He’s getting ready to address other members of the inner circle. The question has hung in the air all throughout the day as the members of the elite conservatives assemble. In the outer room waiting to enter are current and former members of the administration who hold similar beliefs. Absent are the power people’s stenographers.

Outside of the bunker rooms are phalanxes of trusted and able agents. The end game is in sight and all know it. After spending the past eight years building the command, control and power, the people in the well equipped and appointed bunker rooms have to make the final decisions.

“Are we the people we think we are?

“Are we going to do what we all know has to be done?

“We will never have such power again. We have spent the past eight years building secret power to the presidency. Am I going to simply hand it over everything to DK? I have a responsibility to all those who have sworn their loyalty to me. Dennis will waltz in here and be able to expose all the righteous actions we have taken in the name of protecting the country. (Wire tapping, secret arrests, prisons and torture.) There is no going back.

“Are we not going to use the power?”

Well armed and trained secret armies in the form of insurrectionist. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have filled the ranks local state militia with disgruntled veterans who can be trusted to respond. Fighting a war of insurrectionist have trained these people how to become insurrectionists. The prisons in the USA have been built. The local police forces have been conditioned and trained.

The power is here. Between now and January 2009, seize final total government power or lose it. Once the power is lost, prisons await for the righteous power people.

Come on man! They are going to take their billions and run. They did what they wanted to do....pillage the governments coffers.
Cheney, especially! He will go hide out somewhere, spending his last couple of years rubbing shoulders with thgose people who think he is "special" because he made them and himself, ultra-rich.

Once the power is gone, so are they. His time is up. Stick a fork in his ass, cuz he aint gonna be shit after the elections....and he knmows it.

either what you describes leads to the overt completion of the takeover you seem to imply, or the first response to your op is correct. Damned if I know. I tend, though , to use cheney's own 2% rule. Even if there is only a 2% chance of something absolutely devasting happening, you have to address it.

Unfortunately, there is little or nothing the average Joe can do before the shoe drops. It would just be Chicken Little, scoffed at by the establishment. All we can do is hope there is an anti-establishment lurking out there. People like Sanchez, Shinseki, Zinni. Maybe Biden, Jim Webb...

You cannot conduct a preemptive action against what you imply. Just cross your fingers it fails.

By the way, I put it at much more than 2%. More like the odds on that coin flip.
