Poll question: Which is your favorite Sun. morning political show and why?
Edited on Sun Oct-14-07 10:04 AM by cboy4
I like "This Week" best, because the guests are usually good, and I enjoy the "Sunday funnies" and especially "In Memoriam."

In fact, I think all of the war mongers in this country (who love the killing and think the surge is working), should be forced to watch "In Memoriam" so they can look at the list of dead soldiers one by one...some of whom are just 18-19 years old. :(

on edit, what else: Typo

1. I like Reliable Sources with Howard Kurtz sometimes
most of the time, I cannot stand the soundbite shows. I'll just catch the bites on the Daily Show Monday.

4. I watch it but today it failed...
Two items caught in my craw:

Howie said (paraphrasing): "Anne Coulter is a smart lawyer, she uses inflammatory rhetoric to sell books and get attention..." Howie, that is not an example of a good lawyer but a good self-promoting, self-serving poor writer that has no worthy factual arguments or prose, only rhetoric to push an agenda or for the bucks and chuckles.

Then the round table on Graeme of S-CHIP. They never went to the basis facts on whether winger attacks were accurate at all only a mouthing of "if you're put in the public eye expect scrutiny." Scrutiny was expected but not the point! SWIFT BOATING was the point!! Were the winger attack points valid (the death threats sure weren't)? Reliable Sources?... no reliable mouthing smoke screen of fatuousness. The power point winger overkill on Graeme were debunked.

3.  Stephanopoulos -- he tends to appeal to a higher plane of thinking.

8. Other, as in none of the above...
before the 2004 election, I stopped watching all news because I could no longer stomach the corporate news cheerleading for the maladministration. I felt like no matter what news outlet I watched faux noise was everywhere. :puke: Opinion and speculation paraded as actual news and the celebrity scandal du jour made me turn to the internets and world news sources.

The day after the 2004 election, when Pravda had better coverage of the Ohio debacle, I knew there was no point in watching or reading most corporate "news" in this country. I have not changed my opinion except for Keith Olbermann and some of the blogs that have developed into sources worth reading.

9. This Week, probably because the format has a little more variety.
If one segment tanks, another might be good. And I like the Funnies (would like them more if they selected completely on humor and not try so hard to balance).

11. "Other": The McLaughlin Group. I can't stand the others.
I don't really know if TMG is a bona fide Sunday morning show, but it airs on my local PBS channel on Sunday mornings -- so it is for me.
