GWB's epitaph has already been written (by Rudyard Kipling):
A DEAD STATESMAN
I could not dig; I dared not rob;
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

{Cheney: George, do you like Kipling?
George: "I got no idea. I've never kippled."}

A FAKE STATESMAN

I told a big lie; started a fake war;
I wanted revenge, oil and more.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
Ain't nuthin about it you can do.
What legacy will I leave here
'Cept lies, cocaine and drinking beer.

:P

he robbed a plethora of people. He stole hope, life and treasure.

9. Sure.
Doesn't make him wrong about Bush, though.

12. Some of his works are compelling, though.
And that poem sure rings true on Bush and others like him.

8. and maybe Shelley:
Ozymandius
by: Percy Bysshe Shelley

I met a traveler from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert... Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal these words appear:
My name is Ozymandius, King of Kings,
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

13. Great choice-- it does come to mind-- but...if you'll indulge me
*This version of Ozymandias* invariably comes to mind soon after....

10. Exactly!
Or perhaps Hilaire Belloc's "On the Politician Himself"

Here, richly, with ridiculous display,
The Politician's corpse was laid away.
While all of his acquaintance sneered and slanged,
I wept, for I had longed to see him hanged.
