What is so disgusting about Al Gore and the Nobel Prize

is the fact that in all his good works, in trying to inform this country, and the world about global warning, and his many awards, this country has yet to give him the Congressional Medal. One that they are giving to the Dali Lama. That absolutely sucks. Not that I am against the Dali Lama getting the award, what I found reeks of jealousy is the fact that it hasn't been given to Gore.

HE DESERVES TO BE HONORED BY THIS COUNTRY. And damnit congress should get behind this.

I was responding to the OP. I was comparing Gore to the Dalai Lama. And Gore is found wanting in that comparison. As far as Mandela, I disagree still. Gore has never taken the same risks or made the same sacrifices.
