It's been 15 years, but I still miss it. I don't care one way or another about marijuana smoke. I never liked to smell it, and the few times I tried smoking the stuff it either had no effect at all or made me depressed.

High school was hell because I was unable to use the rest room all day, every school day, for four friggin years. The smoke made me THAT ill.

Too funny, if cigarette smokers grousing about "fascism" want to bring up pot. Yes, when cigarette smokers start being hauled off to jail, then perhaps y'all will have a point about the situations being similar.

I think pot should be legal, regulated, and taxed. That's a far cry from saying that people should be able to smoke it whenever and WHEREVER they want, and if anyone complains they're a "Nazi". Most potheads I know would be ecstatic if it merely were legal, they could buy it at the 7-11, and they could smoke it in the privacy of their own home or outside on the curb.

Yet the exact same situation, for some cigarette smokers, is "fascism". Yes, I know- having to step outside of the restaurant or bar to light up is an intolerable encroachment on your freedom.

For the record, I used to smoke pot in my youth, I never seriously smoked cigarettes. Thank God. Because all my experience leads me to believe that quitting pot was way fucking easier than quitting cigarettes ever would be. And my dad died of lung cancer. From cigarettes. Am I "strident"? No. Even though it's bad for you, I have absolutely NO interest in taking your marlboros away. I don't CARE what you want to do to your own body- it's YOUR body, not mine. However, in an indoor enclosed public space, your smoke becomes my problem. I do think it's legitimate for states and municipalities to restrict smoking in indoor, public establishments- thank God I live in California- and if pot were ever legalized, I would expect that would apply to it, too.

with the zero tolerance policies in business it`s not worth the hassle..course you can get smashed every night or do some coke and the next day there are no trances..go figure


opps... i quit smoking cigarettes in 1982 and quit smoking pot in 1992...

remember what I imposed upon others and try my best to be tolerant of others now. I do not think I have ever been strident in opposition to smoking in my presence, but I'll tell you this: I'm very glad that I was able to kick the habit.

As for wacky-weed, that's how I took up tobacco in the first place. I was trying to learn to inhale. I still enjoy a hit or two of the good stuff now and then.
