Question. Why is the Dalai Lama accepting the Gold Medal
of Freedom from a man that is a liar? A man whose lies are responsible the the deaths of thousands of people. A man that has destroyed the Constitution. If this happens, the Dalai Lama has very little character and I will lose all respect I had for him. He will be a man that is in it for himself. That is the absolute opposite of what Buddhism is about. :dem:

2. It's A Buddhist Thing
The simple answer (based on my little knowledge of the subject) is that Buddhists believe that you must show compassion for all creatures, even a liar who's responsible for killing many and shredding the Constitution. They feel that, in the end, this will lead to minimizing the totality of human suffering.

5. I see. Thanks for a concise answer as opposed to the
veiled innuendos out-you-windows from some folks that respond. I have several Buddhist friends that are upset that this is happening.:dem:

6. I would not want to get close enough to whisper anything in
his ear anymore than I would want to get close to Hilter. I usually step over or walk around a pile of fecal matter. :dem:
