Coultergeist's new book is a flop

debuting well below her former numbers. Not even mass bulk purchases can save this one.

I'm reminded of that Onion piece from a few years back after a certain rock star had faded, entitled "Marilyn Manson resorts to going door-to-door to shock people"

Her 15 minutes ended yesterday.

I work at a bookstore. While I can't speak for all stores, I personally sold no copies in 40 hours of work this week. Not anyone asked me about a copy. I actually sold 5 copies of Laura Ingraham's newest piece of tripe, so I was shocked that nobody wanted mAnn's latest book.

And this is particularly shocking, since I work at Books-a-Million (a conservative company, who had her book in prime drive aisle placement).

The funny thing is that I'll bet our store's bestseller list will still have her book rated high. What can you expect from a company who's headquarted in Birmingham, Alabama, and has heavily promoted Joel Osteen's latest work.

One circle, Group "A", contains all the people she has directly insulted, threatened, or otherwise flung her special brand of hate-filled, rhetorical poo at.

The other circle, Group "B", contains all the people who find it 'refreshing' and 'hysterical' and 'witty' when she blurts out her foul crap about Group A.

Trouble is, she can't keep spewing the same garbage over and over again. It gets old. So she has to find new people to insult, making group A bigger. But group B correspondingly shrinks. And she has to throw out fouler and worse crap to keep her knuckle-dragger fans interested, to prove she hasn't lost her "edge". Like Ozzy Ozbourne, she bit the head off a bat onstage, now she needs to bite the head off a chicken. Next week it will be a moose. But that has a tendency to alienate, not bring in, new fans. So group B continues to shrink.

The meth eating her brain probably doesn't help, either.

If there is one, I mean. The legendary "self-hating Jews," perhaps.

That's about it.

A RW moron on another forum was telling me I was giving the Coultergeist free publicity by complaining about her latest crack about Jews. He said I was giving her free publicity and increasing her book sales. That post would be the perfect slapdown!

The bottom line.

Oh I'm sure she'll be on Faux but otherwise no network morning shows or late night shows, no MSNBC or CNN shows that I know of, just CNBC's Deutsch and Kudlow.

Maybe our going after and her vile remarks have finally gotten to the booking people of those shows and perhaps their advertisers.

where Meredith Viera gave her a very polite , friendly introduction. I turned it off immediately, so I don't know if there was any aggressive questioning or whether it was all just friendly morning- show brain mush. I'll guess the latter, but maybe someone more masochistic than myself watched it and can fill us in. Sickening that anyone but Fox and the neo-nazi talk shows across our great country would give her one second of air time.

and have a lot of Kool-Aid drinkers lined up to buy it and you just might have your wish come true.

it say that?...I just looked at the Times web site. It matters not to me what Coulter does but her books are popular among a certain group of the population, like it or not.

Didn't she have a new one out a few months ago? Seems like there is always a new Ann Coulter book out. What does she do? Change the title and rearrange the pages? How many times can she write the same book trashing the same people with the same vitiolic crap?

It would delight me to see her prominence wane, but I'm not ready to celebrate just yet. I think she'll still show up on TV screens, and her staff will surely come up with something outrageous for her to say to prop up her career as talk-show guest.
