13. yes.
Speaking out on Healthcare IS speaking out on poverty.

Speaking out on the war in Iraq IS speaking out on poverty.

I agree talking about Poverty is a good thing. Dealing with it is better. If Edwards wants my vote he needs to speak about a return to "The New Deal."

Other than that it is Kucinich, Gore, and then Edwards.

16. I'm DONE with all the "hidden" speaking out.
It accomplishes exactly.... nothing.

I want to hear his plans on poverty, period.

And, Edwards has certainly spoken about the issues involved with the "New Deal", even if he hasn't used that term. AND, more importantly, he's taken aCTION on it.

20. Do you prefer
Hillary or Biden? Candidates that have built in seals of approval by the DLC? I know Edwards is your choice, but at least I am willing to admit there are a few candidates that I could be happy with: Kucinich, Gore, or Edwards.

My actual point was to question the wisdom of missing out on the issue for a single word or set of words. My requirement for 'return to new deal' vs your requirement for them to say the word 'poverty.' The fact of the matter is we are all intelligent people here and we can all look at the voting records and policy intentions of the existing candidates and discern which ones will help us most.

Kucinich has the most progressive Healthcare policy that garauntees coverage for all including the uninsured or underinsured working poor. All of the other candidates have so far suggested programs that keep the insurance companies in the loop.

Kucinich is also the only candidate that will do away with NAFTA which will ensure that American workers do not have to compete with the Chinese or wherever labor is cheapest.

To be sure Edwards has his advantages too, and I would love to support him in a general election (versues Hillary who I would only vote for grudgingly) and actually if I were to take my own advice my preferred list would read Kucinich and then Edwards. I shouldn't even be thinking Gore until he actually announces-since I have told other people to stop talking about it.

26. I *PREFER* someone who takes poverty seriously.
I will NOT work for *anyone*, including the vaunted Gore, unless/until it is proven he WILL take substantive action against poverty.

Don't need to wave sHill or any of the others in my face. That's not the issue for me... I won't settle anymore for "the least evil".

I WILL vote my own best interest.

PERIOD.

And if Gore can't/won't speak for me, to hell with it.

28. Yeah sure
'Cause Kucinich is evil and hates the poor and loves corporations. I mean he's practically with the Liberman all the way. And he and Emmmanual Rahm -man are they ever friggin tight.

Of coure he definitely hands with those cats and Hilary too, that is when he isn't trading recipes for roasted baby with Dick Cheney or playing golf with Enron and Bush.

And do I have to mention that this is Sarchasm.

Seriously though I have given at least three issues where Kucinich is clearly on the side of the working poor and those that cannot find work. I would never accuse Edwards of being anti-poor or anti-working or whatever, but clearly you have no problem with it?

Are you actually for Edwards or are you some kind of DLC agent provecauter here to stir up shit between the various progressives?

21. Ditto
Much as I want to believe these three videos are Gore's initial position statements for a presidential run, they could just as easily be a suggested platform to the declared candidates.

Still waiting for an unambiguous declaration that may not come. The suspense is palpable.

7. What a great way to start the campaign
Bypass the Mainstream News Corporations and put his message on his own program.

Now it is up to us to send this to as many people as we know. We can get the message out there much faster and without the criticism of MSM.

Thank you so much for providing these links.

23. I like what Thom Hartmann is suggesting. He's already running
he's just avoiding the msm and taking the message to the people. This feeds my hope that he'd run on an independent ticket.
