What Could Get Al Into The Race
This is all conjecture, a tin foil moment if you will. But what if Carville is right and such a sad sack group of candidates on the republicon side causes the party to bring Jeb in and the two front runners are Clinton/Bush? Will a mighty scream go up from the country, will the draft Gore movement escalate into the millions, will he hear the call? After all, we are living in the Twilight Zone, anything could happen. The fickle finger of fate could play some wild tricks in the next 6 months.

1. the man said he's not interested...can't you just accept that?
"I don't have plans to be a candidate again so I don't really see it in that context at all," Gore said when asked in an interview with Norway's NRK public television aired on Wednesday about how the award would affect his political future.

"I'm involved in a different kind of campaign, it's a global campaign," Gore said. "It's a campaign to change the way people think about the climate crisis."

The good old Sherman statement, I will accept and respect.

11. No, that's saying you're distorting or even lying about what he really has said.
And a lot of people have been doing it lately.

4. And, right now, he's "taking time out from his environmentalist work..."
"to promote current" and what was his first act? Uploading videos talking about the Iraq war, health care and the state of America. He's willing to put aside his environmentalist work to speak out. We're just encouraging him to take it to the next level.

for the above quote about "taking time out" watch this video: http://current.com/items/84960191_video_podcast_teaser_for_current_com

7. So he is still expressing interest, cool!
Unlike in 2004 when he stopped all the draft Gore movements and definitively said he was not a candidate, Al has continued to fuel the speculation and allow tens of thousands of people to spend money and effort on his behalf and even after knowing all of that, he STILL refuses to rule it out?

9. Mr. Coffee...if you don't like posts about Gore...then Ignore thread is your friend....
If you can't contribute more than naysaying and criticizing the poster...then your irritation level would go down with just a click of your mouse.

3. If no candidate can win first round...GORE wins!
If no candidate has enough votes in the first round at the Convention, then the barn door is open and Gore can be drafted. But everyday looks more and more Hillary-esque, although the Florida delegation being barred changes the math quite a bit. It will take a lot of little states to make up that count. It is still an open contest, though 'open' includes the narrowest of cracks.
