This is among the most painful press conf bush has ever allowed...
he has imo lost whole chunks of his mind, the world is on the precipice of biblical calamity, he defends his daddy's private firm: Blackwater; as a humanitarian company, the government under bush is practicing mass arrests nationwide in advance of Marshal Law, he ignores any & all questions he does not personally care for and they are many, he has his finger on a button he is just DYING to push, no one is able to stop him not even this congress,

and Cheney is smirking having pulled off the greatest scam in the history of America

3. Timmy has already declared WWIII!
Talking to Brian Williams on MSNBC right afterwards he said that the "big story" would be "Iran/WWII" - and will Republicans start pressuring B*sh to "do something" about Iran soon?

Cheney much, pumpkinhead?

30. Let's hope there's some way
to work through this bad karma that our country has accrued and come out some day ..a country whose leaders are good and true. Looks dark now but I'm not ever giving up!

I never really thought about the consequences of our treatment of The People who were here first on this continent until the last decade or there abouts and now I can't even stand to read about the history of the Indian Nations..it's too sad. Good for you, knowing this for most of your life. Turns out I have Ojibwa blood in me, albeit way down the line but I nuture it for all it's worth. :)

14. I turned it off and I'll tell you why...
First of all already seen the In The Shadows piece previous, but still; here are all these shots in the piece last night of Cheney, black & white, sitting round presidential offices in weird checkered clown suits of the day, shaking hands on the steps of congress, even meeting Addington...all right there, plain as day, easy for anyone to see, or reconstruct.............

It is not possible to say that no one saw Dick Cheney coming. He was sitting right there all along. Hiding in plain sight.

It's been said for some time now, that Cheney is *thee* most vindictive man in DC and guess what?

I guess they were right, cause he is. And we, by all historical account, have long since surrendered our right to be surprised while beneath the weight of documentary evidence.

It's like protesting, "But Dracula said he'd be nice this time." and in he walks x(

35. Too cynical? With this bunch in power
there's no such thing as "too cynical.":(

There's a reason they aren't defending the Constitution. Which is it?

1. They and their families are being Blackmailed/Extorted?

2. They are in bed with the repukes and want a Dictatorship? (I don't think so.)

3. They really are worried about losing in 2008 if they Impeach. (which is pure bullshit, IMCPO)

My choice is Numero Uno. We already know the NSA ILLEGAL spy program was started BEFORE 911. Who were they spying on? My guess? Every Congress critter and Senator.....so they could use the gathered intelligence for Blackmail.

nothing like threatening people to get them to comply to your wishes, another saying was "you're with us or against us", that was not only for other countries that threat was for us too. I keep on remembering John Dean's book Worse Than Watergate, everything he brought up or focused on is coming true, especially the part on continuous war, that the American people would begin to desensitize themselves from it. Or when you have a media that does not inform the electorate that can be a great danger to us.

Edited on Wed Oct-17-07 10:51 AM by tom_paine
:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

If this is actually occurring, it needs to be publicized. But I have to ask, IS it occurring? have you any proof or even some blog reports (which is far from proof, but a small step in that direction perhaps) or ANYTHING to support that statement you just made?

I have to be skeptical of such a large claim, although I am not ruling out it's possibility.

You can't just say something like that and leave it hanging. was it just a glib overstatement or what?

Please supply links and any other support for that assertion.

of course, beneath the mantle of stopping gang violence which is of course a serious matter in America these days and hard to argue against the stopping of which; that they took down some 350 individuals nationwide. That was in the newspapers. In with the kittens, movie times & sports scores somewhere to be sure.

But that was not their first sweep, yes time & crime are both marching on. Other sweeps have already occurred. If you think that the knowledge gained in such actions is not easily transferable then please think again.

In that particular broadcast, it was mentioned Blackwater, under a Marshal Law scenario & being what is in no small measure the bush family's private army, would be brought into America to surveil and run actions upon this populace if indeed they're not already in some capacity take note here please:

Blackwater has already been brought in post Katrina disaster, to run operations on the streets of NOLA for which they were rewarded handsomely. While resolving few dollar-for-dollar problems on the ground, nothing new there.

Edited on Wed Oct-17-07 12:26 PM by tom_paine
Ted Rall wrote about it awhile back, remarking that of the 10,000 or so arrests (my numbers may not be irght, I am working from memory) only 500 or so illegal guns were confiscated and...

...shit, I do see what you are saying and that may be true or close to true.

every heard of VIPR and Behavior Detection Officers?

There is no question Blackwater is the Bushie Private Army. New Orleans shows they would happily murder us, especially if you happen to be African-American, but I think most of these Hessians would be more than happy to pop them some Liberals and Hippies. All they have to do is be given permission.

17. And that is why so many of us have advocated...
That this Congress has a moral obligation to at least leave a footnote in history that some...some tried to impeach.

Trying says as much as actually doing it - not being assured of victory is a lame excuse for cowardly behavior. Trying tells the world that some in our government refused to quietly sit idle while Shrub and Shooter abused the executive branch like no other folks have done in the history of these United States.
