18. Bullshit.
Come January 2009, we'll have a new president and no amount of paranoia is going to change that.

19. So says you, and what makes you so certain of this? If we get one...
little instance that triggers martial law.. The jig is up.

24. even martial law
wouldn't cancel elections, which are required by the constitution.

People here said elections in 2002, 2004 and 2006 would be canceled, too.

They were paranoid then, and they're paranoid now.

As noted above, we will have a new President in 2009.

20. We had TWO stolen presidential elections.
Edited on Wed Oct-17-07 05:45 PM by Just-plain-Kathy
Nothing has been done to fix the “problems” surrounding the outcome of those elections. I don’t think the corporatists who handed Bush the White House, will give up that easily. “They’ll” allow a democrat to “win” (in order to “prove” we have “honest” elections) then it will be business as usual.

Prescott Bush’s dream of a coup has become a reality. Big business and neo-cons now govern us. We need democrats who are willing to talk about the stolen elections. ...Until then I can’t trust our “democracy”.

Edited to add:

In ‘06 we should have won by a landslide, but instead we won enough to give us the majority, enough to give us “blame”, but not enough for veto power. ....Plus won by enough to give us subpoena power (something Pelosi said we would use) but unfortunately the criminals can’t remember shit.

25. He. Can't. Run. Again.
Therefore there is NO WAY he can steal the election.

Now, there is plenty of reason to fight the system we have for elections right now. It's broken. But it's not so broken that Bush will be president for another term.

26. I. Know. He. Can't. Run. Again.
My point was, there will be a democrat chosen to become our next president. One who will continue with the neo-conservative/corporate agenda. ...We'll know who the lucky newly appointed president will be by how our corporate own media reacts to the candidate. ...They will probably declare this candidate “unstoppable”.

Bush is slowly discovering that the system is still bigger than Bushco. Ask Gonzo and Rove.

12. Don't miss the repeat
You have to see the moment when Tweety asked her if she's calling him unstable. Priceless - she backed off and spoke to his incoherent approach to serious issues but it was already out of the bag  Barbara said what we all know -Bush is a fugging lunatic.
