"Daily Show" gets own Web site

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - After more than a decade on the air, Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" has its own online home.

The new Web site, DailyShow.com (http://www.dailyshow.com), will go live at noon EST Thursday, presenting nearly the entire video archive of the show for the past nine years.

The site contains more than 16,000 video clips spanning headlines, correspondent pieces and such regular segments as Lewis Black's "Back in Black" or Stephen Colbert's "This Week in God." For now, the archives start in early 1999, covering the Jon Stewart-era. The earlier version of the program, which started in 1996 with host Craig Kilborn, could be available by early 2008.

Uninterrupted episodes will not be available, though full shows can, for the most part, be pieced together from the clips.

Comedy Central had to keep dropping off older video clips, and there were some classics with Ed Helms and Colbert that I'd like to see again.

When Craig Kilborn hosted The Daily Show, I did not have satellite TV - therefore I did not watch TDS. Instead, I watched David Letterman and my super favorite, Tom Snyder's Late Late Show. When Tom announced he was being replaced by Kilborn, I was so angry. I gave Kilborn a chance but to me, he sucked. That was when I got satellite TV. That was when I discovered The Daily Show with Jon.

I still miss Tom, terribly. I sure don't miss Craig Kilborn.

I watched a little of that larry craig toilet paper stuck under the shoe episode with matty lauer..I can't even believe the today show has lowered themselves to such dribble.

Can you imagine the craigs after their matty interview..saying to each other.."that oughta shut up all those gay accusations!"

Such hard news..does matty lauer wonder what his career has come to?
