Poor Jason Whitlock (sports writing in KC)...
Can he really be that much of a self-hating, self-loathing idiot.

Talk about your stereo-typing and generalizations that are off the mark.

1. I live in KC and can't stand this man
He is an Alan Keyes wanna be. He wrote a column about the Jena 6 that is beyond insulting. If a white person had written it, they would have been rightly labeled a racist.

Jason is a conservative who needs to stick to sports. His political views are way out there. But then, his sports columns can be pretty gross too. This one is a great example.

Thanks for sharing. (I think ;) )

5. I used to work with him when I was an intern in Ann Arbor......
He was working in Ann Arbor at the time, and I couldn't stand him then. He was an ass then, and I see little has changed.

2. Jason Whitlock - The Uncle Tom of Sportswriting
This would be the sellout that defended Imus by attacking the Rutgers coach and Rev Sharpton. What an ass.

3. Yes, he is
I can't stand him. He never makes any sense.

Hip hop athletes are being rejected because they're not good for business and, most important, because they don't contribute to a consistent winning environment. Herm Edwards said it best: You play to win the game.

What an ignorant statement.

4. On what genre of music should we blame Bush's shortcomings?
And is there such a thing as a NON-hiphop black player?

8. He plays to the right-wing because he couldn't survive otherwise
His writing talents are non-existent and his TV persona is laughable. The only way that he can create a niche in the sports-entertainment market is by being a black man that spouts off anti-black sentiment at every opportunity.

If he was a genuine writer, it's abundantly clear that he would have a job.
