Gore is likely best Dem candidate at present, but he still hedges
Edited on Thu Oct-18-07 03:13 PM by appalachianguy
Taking into consideration the alternatives Dems have at
present,
it seems that Al Gore would be the best candidate the Dems
could
put in the 2008 general election.
Hillary is on a roll in the polls in most places, but she
certainly
has personality problems and general like-ability issues with
many
people in both parties.
Obama is a smart, fresh face in the political world, but he
lacks
experience and is a bit of an X-factor in a big game.
Edwards is a bit more experienced and a good speaker with a
very
good personal approach to his candidacy.
Biden is a very experienced person with a wealth of inside
intellect
and has a good public appeal.
I'm not going into any other candidates at this point, because
I don't
want to draw this out any more, nor alienate any DEM hopeful
protagonists.
The bottom line is Al Gore is a sentimental favorite due to
his stolen
candidacy in 2000. He has the eyes and ears of the our
homeland and the international community through his great
environmental work and a little
"Nobel Prize" in his back pocket. He would likely
clean-the-clock of any
of the GOP candidates in the 2008 general election. His is the
best overall DEM candidate for all the right (and left)
reasons and would
silence all the Hillary haters. What more could we ask for
from a President?

6. Gore candidacy
Hi Sellitman,

I've always been for Gore in my heart, but his lack of
commitment has been a stop light. We could use him NOW!
Thanks for the welcome.

13. Gore run
Hi Fitzmas,

I don't questions Gore's lack of commitment to the Party
or the cause, I just want him to commit to running and not
leave
his followers hoping. I'm 1000% there if he jumps in!!

5. He is not hedging...
How many ways does he have to say NO, before people understand what N.O. spells.

8. Gore run
Hi BW1234,

I don't believe it's likely Gore will run but it's
my belief that I should do whatever I can to make
things in my country the best they can be.
I think Al's the man and I'm going to depend on the
human ability to be unpredictable and keep plugging.
Most of the other candidates are just creating division
in the ranks. Gore could bring the DEMS together.

7. Gore Has No Problem Getting His Message Out
Our candidates get muzzled by the Repiglickin' "news" media, otherwise known as the Mighty Slime Machine.

Instead presenting a platform, all they get to do on TV is defend themselves against the latest Repiglickin' talking points, which every TV commentator has committed to memory.

Gore has been getting his message out by means of books and movies, and has acquired rock-star stature in the process.

None of our other candidates could possibly do that, and that is what it will take to win.
