story that Val Plame was working to keep WMDs from Iran and she
tried to "sand bag" Plame / Wilson on more than one occasion.

The biggest story going; That Dick Cheney outed Plame so as to "get his war on"
was not touched tonight but Couric managed to get out an, "are you too partisan?"
shot at Plame.

All f***ing day I was looking forward to seeing bush & Cheney's crimes brought
out into the open but all Couric did was to rehash information that was already
out in public.

I love how we've been reduced to having Miss Perky of 1990 "doing the news" now.

News is NOT perky. Especially during the last ten years or so. And it doesn't make things more palatable to have them delivered by perky.

She could do very well on "The View," or maybe Ellen Degeneres's show, or some such thing, but GEEZ... the CBS Evening News. So bad it's been "Gidget-ized." Sigh...

and wishing I were her.

It's just that I want a little more than perky from my news anchors, both male and female.

maybe they'll actually air that part eventually..

And I also request that "Gidget" not be used as a pejorative for Couric. She lacks the sincere integrity to merit a nickname some of us lovingly apply to Ms. Monica Novotny of MSNBC, who is not the philistine that Couric is.

"The show failed miserably in presenting an unbiased view of what transpired in the case of Valerie Plame. You are enabling the demise of democracy. Congratulations. I am disgusted by what you present as "news", and by the light in which Couric frames the story. We -- the populace -- are not as gullible as your analysts might surmise. Your stock as a reputable organization has been further diminished."

Eric Sevareid, Walter Conkite, Ed Murrow, and now Couric.

I wish Joe Wilson had slapped her.
