***POLAND throws out far-right, pro-Bush, pro-Iraq war, anti-gay government***

WARSAW, Poland - A pro-business opposition party that wants Poland's troops out of Iraq ousted Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski's government in parliamentary elections Sunday, as Poles opted for leadership offering a more cooperative approach to the European Union.

Donald Tusk's Civic Platform party led with 41.2 percent of the vote after nearly three-fourths of the ballots were counted early Monday, which would give the party 205 seats in the 460-seat Sejm lower house.

That would be short of the 231 needed for a majority — but close enough for it to join with a smaller party to form a government.

"Today I am the happiest person in the world," a teary-eyed Tusk told supporters. "People in Poland voted today to chose their own fate and have put a great responsibility, a great task on our shoulders. We undertake this great responsibility."

1. From "You forgot Poland!" to "You can forget Poland".
Sounds like one less country in the "Coalition of the Willing" in the future.

2. Another good thing about this is
That Jaroslaw Kaczynski is the identical twin of the Polish President, and those two fellows together looks seriously creepy and freaky!

Just TOO weird!

19. Have you seen the TV show "The League of Gentlemen"?
It's this very surreal TV show, it's incredibly good.

Anyhow, if you have seen the show, you might probably agree, that the Polish President and his identical twin, the now former Polish Prime Minister, look exactly like they belong in "The League of Gentlemen"

Totally BIZARRO!

6. Good for Poland
A good example to their east neighbors Ukraine with installed USchenko government.
Parading ukrainian nazis are again fashionable in Ukraine. I wouldn't believe it unless I saw that with my own eyes.

10. The reason USchenko had his supporters wearing orange caps was to hide their skin heads
Some of us knew what was happening in Ukraine.

24. Any substantiation to that claim?
Either that Yushenko is US installed or that nazism is popular in the country?

If not, I suggest you STFU.

9. Now here's ONE bit of encouraging news!!!
The new government's not exactly leftist, but at least it's not loony-right! Those Kaczynski brothers were loathesome in the extreme.

28. I think a British analogy ...
would be more like replacing the BNP (if God forbid, they had ever formed a government!) with the Tories. Replacing extreme evil with normal evil! An considerable improvement under the circumstances.
