Is it all catching up to him finally...

21. That's the red nose of someone who is ALWAYS royally fucked up.
If that's what's showing through the pancake, I'm guessing that Georgie spends a lot of time moaning into a bottle about his legacy. I won't believe in an attack of conscience this late in his life.

4. Let's be real -- the presidency is a killing job . . .
Edited on Mon Oct-22-07 03:53 PM by MrModerate
It just takes longer for some folks than others.

And being an exercise freak, Bush is able to mitigate a lot of the negative effects of stress. But he's not a moron (as much as we'd like to think so), and he's got to know his entire administration, and hence (if you take the longer view) his whole life, is a massive failure.

I'm surprised he looks as good as he does.

13. Could be . . . I recently saw an old tape of him debating Anne Richards . . .
During the gubernatorial contest that positioned him to run for the White House, and by comparison with today he was verbally nimble, cogent, somewhat charming, and confident.

None of which is true today. He is clearly deteriorating (although I thought he was already pretty twitchy and pre-fried during the first Gore-Bush debate in 2000).

I hope the guy holding the nuclear launch codes remembers that "I was just following orders" didn't save anyone's hide at Nuremberg.

Am I the only one who can see a serious drunk here? Why haven't the media asked whether he is on the sauce again? Anyone with eyes knows the answer to that one.

26. I swear to god, lately he looks like he falls down the stairs on a regular basis.
There has to be something medically wrong with him--that or the evil shit he's been up to all these years is finally catching up to him. If I didn't know better, I'd think someone was beating him up every other day or so.

33. I saw that ceremony and cried throughout it
I cried for the young man who lost his life and for his mom and dad. He was truly a hero. It's difficult to believe that I didn't even know this young man, or his parents, and I could be impacted like that, watching the ceremony with tears streaming down my face, but it happens more and more often when I see the faces of those who have lost their life because of this war. I am sure I am not the only one reduced to this pitiful state by the Bush* years -- I used to become outraged, now I just cry -- but I can't help much wonder how much more this Country and its people can take.

Sorry I allowed Bush* speaking to air under my roof(I have successfully banned him for seven years now), but I needed to show some respect to this young Navy Seal and his parents who obviously have lost so much more than I. What a tragedy.

Sam
