My daughter wrote this LTTE for her AP Government class.

I have to say that I was not surprised to see George Bush vetoing the SCHIP program. In the seven nightmarish years that he has been in the White House, he has yet to advance any cause that might benefit any of the underprivileged in this country. Katrina, anyone?

The one thing that is puzzling, though, is that surely even a dullard like Bush can see that the SCHIP program is necessary for protecting the health of a large number of children in this country. If these children are not cared for properly by healthcare practitioners, where will Bush get the necessary cannon fodder for the next war he plans to start?
