It kinda makes you look unhinged.

(I hope this isn't a bad time to point this out.)

But that's me. And, for what it's worth, a good number of other people (here on DU and elsewhere as well) are unhinged as well (at least according to you). I guess you're one of the few sane ones left. Well, bully for you.

Stark's comment, however, suggested much more than outrage.

17. I can (and do) accuse the president of many things:
  • lying
  • brain damage
  • insulated
  • not worthy of such a cool mountain bike
  • spaz
  • manipulative and manipulated
  • agenda-driven
  • not giving a good god damn about what's good for the US as a whole
  • signed, sealed and delivered
  • hateful

But, I would never say that he derives pleasure from knowing that soldiers are "getting their brains blown out."

Actually, it's just my opinion, and I disagree with your opinion. Neither of us have the facts.

What belief do you base your opinion on that he doesn't derive pleasure from knowing that soldiers are "getting their brains blown out."?

From what I've seen the death and destruction that's been caused by his actions doesn't seem to phase him at all, as long as his agenda is being met!

So, what belief is your opinion based on?

with all the bucks that are flowing into the fat pockets of Halliburton, Blackwater, etc., because of this horrid war and all the extras that come with it, you bet they can afford even greater toys for their 'amusement'.

but pleasure could work too. There's something about Bush and how 'alive' he looks when he talks about death.

107. You may not say it, but I'm sure glad Stark did.
We don't need DNA evidence and a three-week trial to understand that death and destruction give Bush genuine pleasure. It's been noted by prominent psychologists and psychiatrists that, to put it mildly, Bush exhibits all the symptoms of a full-blown sociopath. As you know, sociopaths do not derive pleasure from life, but from controlling and crushing it.

After all Bush has done to cause so much suffering and death in this world, why would you hold back from stating he derives pleasure from knowing that soldiers are getting their brains blown out? Has he ever indicated for even one moment anything opposite? Why in the world would he deserve such a large benefit of the doubt? Especially after he had the nerve to yuk it up about how funny it was that WMD could not be found in Iraq?

This monstrous creature gets no benefit of the doubt from me.

I don't think Bush is sitting in his den cackling with glee while looking at defense department photos of dead bodies. What some people here don't seem to understand though, is that you can still think the guy is an vile prick who should be impeached while not thinking he belongs next to Stalin, Jason, Pol Pot, and Chucky in the sadists line in hell.

He's just an incompetent moron backed by money who maneuver him for their own financial self interest. Amusement on his or their part implies that they care, either negatively or positively. The truth is he probably is incapable of truly understanding what death means to the deceased and their living relatives, and his handlers don't give a shit. They don't derive amusement out of it...they just simply couldn't give a fuck about them.

18. Bad form?
Reminds me George Plimpton, in Good Will Hunting, playing the part of a psychologist:

"Now: no more shenanigans, no more tomfoolery, no more ballyhoo."

Truth, however shocking, is never "bad form".

71. That * finds human suffering amusing is a matter of record, not opinion.
But lets grant that it's opinion, for the sake of argument. So what? What's your point? That questioning * gives the terrorists more power is opined often enough, and nobody is censured for that.

Are you honestly suggesting that Congress deals chiefly in truth?

We've become experts at saying nothing, but we haven't figure out how to say things that matter.

Neither you nor I have anyway of knowing what precisely it was that the mighty Zardoz did that ended up in his well deserved TSing.
It is utter crap to suggest that the moderators of this board treat this as some sort of popularity contest. If that were the case, several extremely unpopular posters wouldn't be around for as long as they have been.

"pissed off the masses and was forced to walk the plank"-what melodramatic BS :eyes:. He was TSed as happens with lots of people all the time. When you troll on a board, repeatedly get topics locked (shit I have seen three threads by him locked in just the last few weeks and I don't even log on here that much), start posts that are total flame-bait, while pretending to be surprised that what you said would create a flame-war etc., it stands to reason that you run the risk of getting banned.

And never, ever "apologize".

We are in the majority now and still "apologizing". Censuring our own, censuring moveon, it's like they don't know any other way to function than to kiss ass and grovel and act weak.

156. I am reminded of when Gore and bush were in a debate...
and the Death Sentence was to be imposed on an inmate in TX...bush chuckled, he seemed amused that someone was going to die.

bush is a sociopath, he finds amusement where most would find discomfort and dismay. The more miserable some are, the more powerful he feels, in that regard, as in many others, he is a lowly creature.

As other have pointed out, he's known for sadistic behavior, he's made jokes about things that killed people(WMD's for 1), and he finds it hilarious that he's sitting in the WH, most probably sharing a bed with Jeff Gannon, instead of Gore or Kerry.

His accomplishments are truly amazing, when you ignore his stupid act.

Looks like everything's hunky-dory for you and your fellow Politeness Above All Democrats. And I'm afraid it's just going to get better and better for you---Pelosi & Co. will continue to crater on one matter after another, running scared and stupidly adhering to the sort of genteel fair play code that the other side jettisoned a long time ago. So tell me: once the Democratic Party is totally disabled for lack of a backbone, and after the Republicans are able to snatch victory from the jaws of almost certain defeat because there's nobody to stop them, will it still give you a warm, rosy glow inside, knowing we didn't "get down on their level" and say or do something that might offend Rush Limbaugh?
