1. Seeing it like that, it's dumbfounding. I'm in the part of NC where it's "exceptional".
And 8 inches of rain in NO, the fires in CA. It's like out of a futuristic sci-fi movie.

Thanks for posting this - and my thoughts are with everyone! :grouphug:

3. wish i could just pipeline some of the damn rain from here in new orleans
8 inches yesterday, and yes, i was crying as i watched the water rise, altho ultimately i and most others were not flooded

god only knows what investment in the new pumping systems and plenty of streets still flooded in orleans and jefferson, plenty of people lost their cars

just sick of the constant rain rain rain, i feel like crying every time there's a storm, i know we need SOME rain but it's just much too ridiculous at times

thank god the hurricane season is all over but the shouting

4. We are in a D4 area. Every time they call for even the remotest chance of rain
it just goes around us. It is supposed to be raining here right now. We have seen about five drops of rain. Yesterday we saw three. I am freaked out right now. This isn't about watering my lawn. We have seven horses of our own and I board another six. I have no grass and if this keeps up, there will be no grass next year. Hay prices have doubled in the past six months. My husband and I have been looking at land an hour south of us. If I can get a job in that area, we are talking about moving. But that would mean uprooting our children who are happy where they are and in the sixth and eleventh grades.

I dunno. I can't figure out what to do.

5. Check it out, Georgia doesn't look that bad compared to some other states.
I wonder how much of Atlanta's problems have been brought about by poor planning.
