Newsday referred to Romney as "the family values candidate"
http://mediamatters.org/items/200710230010?f=h_latest

In an October 23 article noting criticisms of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) made by Republican presidential candidates during an October 21 debate, Newsday's Tom Brune described former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) as "the family values candidate," suggesting that other candidates -- Democratic or Republican -- are not "the family values candidate." Brune wrote: "Romney, the family values candidate, jabbed at her with phrasing that evoked the liaison that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had with intern Monica Lewinsky." While Brune did not explain what specific policies Romney embraced that make him "the family values candidate," Media Matters for America has noted numerous instances of media figures equating "conservative" positions with "family values" or "pro-family" positions.

1. Of course this is how the attack on HRC will go
The same media who are choosing her to be the Dem candidate will tear her down if she is the Democratic POTUS candidate.

Edwards is the candidate that big business does NOT want for POTUS. And whether if Mrs. Clinton is the dem nominee and she wins or loses --- it's a win for business.

3. Do you suppose if we have another candidate instead of Clinton that the media will be nice to him?
Like they were to John Kerry?

6. Hillary should be commended by the "family values" crowd for
sticking with Bill and forgiving him. After all, SHE wasn't the one messing around with Monica. Now that might be a story.

8. What exactly are "family values"?
Wouldn't that refer to things that Families Value? Things like affordable housing..affordable health care..affordable education? How about jobs that pay a living wage and include benefits? How about gas prices that allow a family to get to work and school without having to take out a loan? Aren't these things "family values"? Where exactly does Mitt the Shit stand on these things?
Or...does Newsday think that denying equal rights to all citizens is a "family value"? Maybe a "family value" is to criminalize abortions? Maybe it's to wage illegal war on countries that pose no threat to us simply to steal their natural resources?

I'm having a hard time figuring out those "family values" that Mitt champions.

9. Hatin' TEH GAY.
That's enough, though talking about banning abortion helps, as does some carefully-hedged bigotry against minorities and women.

It's code.
