Deer Hunting With Jesus

Everyone needs to read this book by Joe Bageant. This book sums up the situation in this country better than anything I've read before. Don't take my word for it: READ IT!

My boyfriend has read it and he is from small town in East Ohio which is very much like Winchester Va. which Joe writes about. The book "Deer Hunting With Jesus, : Dispatches from America's Class War" is very enlightening that progressive liberals can get to understand some of the people they meet that aren't understand what Bush and Cheney are doing to the country.

I am in the middle of the book now and find I can now understand my brother who is a NJ redneck. How we are family is mind boggling but I still love him. We agree to disagree and not discuss politics.

I have visited rural and small town America and the south and find the writer has captured these people very well as he is from the same town and grew up with these people.

He is hilarious but dead on serious about how the Republicans have taken over America's poor and working poor. Amazing book! Buy it today.

And would make great Christmas presents!
