Did you see Jason Kenny's attempt to silence the Dalai Lama?
The Dalai Lama is in Ottawa and will meet P.M. Harper today.
I just watched a small news conference where the Dalai Lama, accompanied by Kenny, was answering questions. Things were going along fine, and Kenny was beaming like a proud father until someone asked about the war in Afghanistan. The Dalai Lama, (whose English I find a little difficult to understand), said something about violence not being the answer, and immediately Jason Kenny tried to spirit the Dalai Lama away and said "no more questions". He broke into French and said something (I didn't get what it was) and left with the Dalai Lama so quickly, he was practically running. It was the most blatant job of silencing!

1. Who's Jason Kenny?
My apologies - he does seem like a bit of a soulless wonk.

4. The thing about this is, the Harper gov't will try to use the D.L.
to make himself look like a world leader. He will somehow twist the Dalai Lama's message of non-violence and peace and freedom for all, into support for his desire to keep the war going in Afghanistan. Harper is such a slippery son-of-a-bitch.
