Is Huckabee a Bigger Jerk than Romney?
I thought some kind of limit had been reached with Mitt Romney. Nobody could be a bigger jerk than that. Surely the Republican Party has nowhere to go but up.

Then I watched an interview with Mike Huckabee. Wow! He sure gives Romney a run for his money.

3. And Huck is the "likable" one!
All of their candidates seem pretty jerk-like to me.

4. Huckabee actually believes all the tommyrot he's spouting
while Mittens is purely an opportunist who will change when the prevailing political winds do.

There is no hope for pragmatism with Huckabee. There is only minor hope for it from Mittens.

7. Right. Several weeks ago I heard bits of interview
on NPR and when asked about abortion - which, of course, he opposes - he made an extra effort to talk about being "pro-life" meaning taking care of children who are already here.

Hey, had Kerry followed this line he might have won.

9. Hardly
Throwing half the party under the bus is no way to win anything.

Thanks for playing, though.

13. I went to a Huck appearance months ago
and asked him about 'life after birth'. Specifically what kind of health care changes he would make and how would he pay for them. He had just made a big deal about it in a radio interview. I got the usual 'wellness' crap - you know lose weight take care of your self etc. Tax credits so folks could buy insurance. Same old shit in a preacher's voice.

6. They're both fundies
By definition, that means they're both crazier than a sprayed roach.

8. You get down into the second tier canddiates and there's a bouquet of jerks
Like Tom Tancredo for example. or Alan Keyes.

Huckabee is a Christian Right Winger trying half heartedly to look moderate - he can't really pull it off.

I'm sure that both excel at jerkiness. Why make it a competition?

12. I always found Giuliani more of an Ass
Huckabee is like....balls to the wall wrong on pretty much everything, but I've never seem him be the grade A prick that Giuliani is when talking about it.

14. Romney really doesn't bother me anymore--I think he's probably
the least-harmful Repub running. Huckabee makes my skin crawl and stomach roil--totally creeps me out. To me, if Bill Clinton and GWB ever got together and had a love child, the end result would be Huckabee.
