FEMA Faker Lost His New Job At DNI Before He Starts It!
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/10/29/philbin-ii/

DNI cans former FEMA staffer.

Earlier today, ThinkProgress noted that former FEMA director of external affairs John “Pat” Philbin had resigned his position, only to be rewarded with a promotion. Today, Philbin was set to become the director of public affairs for Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell. But the DNI’s office has since backed away from its offer, putting out a statement this afternoon that reads:

We can confirm that Mr. Philbin is not, nor is he scheduled to be, the director of public affairs for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

CNN reported that, as of this morning, the DNI’s office had said Philbin’s appointment was still going forward. Now, the DNI’s office has reconsidered in the wake of increasing anger about the hiring.

6. As good a reason as any for maintaining our vigilance
I may not be able to do everything I think should be done. I don't necessarily agree with what every other person is doing to end this criminal regime, either in terms of strategy or tactics. But I'm not going to get in someone else's way or say he or she is wasting time pursuing a hopeless task. Somebody kept track of Mr. Philbin and stopped him from being kicked upstairs. For that, I'm glad.

7. Their confirmation is a little too specific to suit me.

I've had seven years to get used to the way these corrupt BushCo assholes do things.

They probably invented a job for him at the same pay grade where he inventories parking spaces or something.

8. That's because Think Progress, Crooks and Liars and Raw Story
got their viewers to start a letter writing campaign to the people who give this joker accredition. It must have worked. If they pulled his accredition he couldn't qualify for the job.

And by the way, he did go along with Comy to try to force Ashcraft to sign those papers, when Ashcraft was under sedation after an operation.

11. You know, it occurred to me.....
....after reading this latest installment from the play called the Bush Tragedy, that we've seen some spectacular career swan dives right into the rocks, during the Era of the Bush Regime. There was:

Claude Allen
Michael Brown
Scooter Libby
Donald Rumsfeld
Tim Griffin
Michael A. Battle
Michael Elston
Monica Goodling
Kyle Sampson
Sara Taylor
William W. Mercer
Paul McNulty
Harriet Miers
Alberto Gonzalez
Karl Rove
Bradley Schlozman
Richard Griffin
John Philbin

- "I wonder what they're all doing these days......."
