4. Yes. What I heard was Lt. Eric Shine explaining steps the Bush Administration is taking to impose

military jurisdiction over civilian activities now that Posse Comatitis (I can't ever remember how to spell that word) was repealed by Bush's executive order unopposed by the Democratic leadership in Congress.

I tuned in late, but it sounded like he was describing ways in which military courts were trying to obtain jurisdiction over U.S. citizens in spite of Supreme Court decisions going back 200 years. One of the strangest examples involved requiring boat owners to get some kind of Federal boat license, with domestic waterways to be patrolled by the U.S. Navy.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I'm NOT making this up. Maybe other listeners could clarify. NovaM members should have access to a tape of the broadcast available for download shortly. Lt. Shine also has a website (address in post below), but he said that he hasn't had time to post these latest updates yet.

Hope that helps. Whenever I hear or see broadcasts I think other DUers might be interested in, I try to post alerts in GD. Wish there was a faster way to do that, but I did my best.

3. I have been listening to Jeff's show and am stunned...

He was talking to Lt. Eric Shine about his court case, he is being tried in a military court with the judge being from the Coastguard. He isn't allowed legal representative and this kind of court has jurisdiction over civilians too.

Scary stuff, imo!

Edited to add Lt. Shine's website:
