Live blogging the waterboarding demonstration-DC

Karendc called me with the first report. It's ironic that on such a warm beautiful day in DC, they are all chilled by watching the rehearsal of the waterboarding. The victim in this demonstration is Maboud E. He is a US citizen of Iranian descent.

Just watching the rehearsal and knowing that they were NOT doing the "full Monty" they were still TERRIFIED watching it--even though they only did what can be done in good conscience.

Media has gathered to watch the demonstration.

2. UPDATE
A lot of media is here! Code Pink, IVAW, and others. A group of high schoolers just walked by and learned about water boarding.

They are about to do it.

8. Maboud is talking to the press.
He is telling them that water got in and he just PANICKED!!! It felt VERY REAL to him!

Everyone at the demo is shaking and crying.

16. Mean jerks is mild compared to what I'd call them!
jackasses, non human and I'd go even further than that. If anyone has a few extra minutes, more comments and recommendations are needed on that video, check out the freeper fascists over there. Downright "Dr. Mengele" if ya ask me.

13. They are done
Maboud has finished his interviews. Fox 5, spanish speaking networks, and others were there videotaping this and interviewing him. They are now taking him out to lunch and afterwords they are treating him to a massage.

The poor guy will likely have nightmares just from having this demo. Imagine what it's like with the real thing.

It needs rated up to get this ball rolling. people need to witness and understand and it's proven that Youtube and similar video hosting sites can get the word out, when the media is disgustingly lacking.

So my dear DUers, are we up to the challenge to get more coverage of this? Rate this UP until the stench of it is impossible to ignore!

Maybe a separate thread for the video?
