3. I don't even want to anymore
I have been reading more of America's imperial history and there really is nothing to like. I have been really drawn to Blum, Parenti and Chalmers Johnson of late. I have no hope left. The democrats are enabling and are complicit with the imperialists. They always have been, it is just more obvious now.

:(

5. I wish America would be more honest about its history
and it isn't....and I doubt it ever will be.

I like Germany. Maybe I like what Germany became after such horror.

Doesn't mean I think Germany is perfect or that Germany is better...I just like it. I like living here. I like the freedom. I like not feeling oppressed and I tell people that getting off the plane in Germany from America was like blue skies opening up and a cloud disappearing. And probably I would have felt that way most anywhere - I so wanted out of America at the time. I was beyond depressed when I left America.

I want to like America that way....and I can't.

I think I could if she would prosecute her war criminals. Expose them and their backers for what they are - no pulling punches. If America would just take full and total responsibility for her actions.

I don't think that's too much to ask.

I think America would be stronger for the doing.

I don't think that will happen.

It's like they're killing all hope in America and they don't care - because the curtain's been pulled back and they are no longer pretending America carries the promise of being something better. Maybe that promise has always been a lie. The carrot and stick...and I think it is just that most times.

Maybe I'm just in mourning.

I hate myself and I mock myself for feeling this way...the mourning. The hope I so obviously still cling to...
