"The Prophecies of Asu-The time of testing"

Hearken to me children if your ears take the dare
Gather and listen to the Prophecies of Asu.
That is my name and my tale now begins;
Please, take a chair.

A time of great trials is upon us I fear.
Humanity put to a test
Many roads might we travel
and our path is not quite clear.

Kings threaten war
The Machine gnashes its teeth
Cries more, more, more
Anticipating fresh meat
Food, breath and life for the beast.

The Nation of Freedom teeters
The edge of a razor
Foul winds blow
Fair winds try to save the show

The audience of the world watches
As Freedom tries to upstage all
The other players won't have it
Freedom forgot her lines
The understudies plot her fall.

Meanwhile our planet screams
Expressing disgust
Our Mother to become our killer
The end of all hope and dreams.

Human ears still deaf
Too busy with folly
and our time grows shorter
A season of woe at hand
If we still work only for death.

Peace seems impossible
But clearly there is no other choice
Through deeds fair or foul
The Kings must hear our voice.

Speak loudly and armed with truth
Those that know, those that care.
Though our numbers are small
We are the only hope
To save our world from despair.

A larger mountain we've not had to scale
Situation dire
No future if we fail
"9th inning", "4th quarter", "End of the line", "Down to the wire"

You will be hated, you will be shunned
You may even be martyrs
The Enemy of Life has servants
Willing to commit the darkest acts
And they have the most guns.

The cost if we fail our test?
No great Revelation
Decide in your heart if you can allow it
Your children being the last generation.

I am Asu.
Nearly three centuries have I endured
I need no progeny
I speak and fight for yours
For what the future should be.

I am Asu, I tell only what I see
A possible future or one that will never be.
