High Level Government and Military Officials Pilots to Tell Their UFO Stories for the First Time
Group to call on US Government to Re-Open its Investigation

From the press release - http://www.freedomofinfo.org/media/PRESS_ADVISORY.pdf

The American public is not alone when it comes to sighting what the US Air Force has labeled Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). So too have former governors, high level military and government officials, highly trained airplane pilots and aviation experts. The phenomenon is real. It happens worldwide. No one is sure about its nature. Experts from seven countries will divulge what they have discovered about UFOs at a November 12 panel discussion moderated by former Arizona Governor Fife Symington (R) at the National Press Club.

Just one year ago, pilots, mechanics and managers from United Airlines witnessed a metallic disc-shaped object hovering over the United Airlines Terminal at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. The clearly observed object shot straight up leaving a hole through the clouds. Despite the clear aviation safety issues involved, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) never investigated the incident and dismissed it as weather. This head-in-the-clouds refusal to investigate stands in sharp contrast to efforts by governments of other countries to understand these incidents.

“I believe that our government should take an active role in investigating this very real phenomenon,” said Symington, who was a witness to the famed ‘Phoenix Lights” incident seen by hundreds in Arizona while he was governor. “This panel consists of some of the most qualified people in the world with direct experience in dealing with this issue, and they will bring incredible, irrefutable evidence, some never presented before, that we simply cannot dismiss or ignore,” he said.

3. I saw a UFO once, in Viet Nam.
But when it hit a F-4 a few thousand feet above me, I realized I had just seen my first (of many) SAMs.

18. And at THAT point
what you saw was no longer unidentified.

The question "Do you BELIEVE in UFOs?" is just stupid. Any observant skywatcher has likely seen something s/he could not identify. It's not about "belief," it's merely observation.

5. Several years ago I, along with 7 of my neighbors saw a UFO
Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 11:17 AM by OmmmSweetOmmm
and to this day, I can't figure out what it was. When it left and I went back in my home, I called the police station and couldn't get through. The phone must have been ringing off the hook.

A few years before my sighting, about 15 minutes by car from here, a UFO with the same description was seen over a major parkway during rush hour. From what I've heard, traffic went to a halt, and people got out of their cars to look at it. This incident has been mentioned in books in regard to UFO sightings.

8. You're not the only one - here's what the former Canadian National Defense Minister revealed
Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 11:33 AM by Venus Dog
Paul Hellyer, Canadian Minister of National Defence
from 1963 to 1968, announced in September that he
believes UFOs are extraterrestrial visitors and that some
governments—the United States at least—know all about
it and are covering up. He also believes American scientists
have re-engineered alien wreckage from the UFO
crash at Roswell, N.Mex., in 1947 to produce modern
technical marvels.

Hellyer spoke September 25 at a conference sponsored
by MUFON Central Canada and held on the University
of Toronto campus. He described a UFO sighting he
had while camping out with his wife and some friends: “A
bright light appeared in the sky and appeared to zig and
zag across the horizon.”
He added that he started taking
the issue much more seriously after watching ABC-TV’s
UFO special with Peter Jennings in February 2005.

10. A very relevant quote from astronaut Scott Carpenter..
"At no time, when the astronauts were in space were they alone: there was a constant surveillance by UFOs."

!!!

Something is definitely going on.

11. lol! I saw something zig zagging in the skies over the Catskill Mts. in NY
Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 11:57 AM by OmmmSweetOmmm
when I was 15..that was 41 years ago. I don't even count that one!

What I saw with my neighbors was awesome. It was nighttime, about 10PM. I went out to walk my dog and I heard humming. I looked to the direction of that humming and saw a Huge low flying craft that was just about the tree line and coming in the direction of my home. It was moving Very Slowly. There were white lights all around the front of it and yet the lights didn't really brighten up the area, which was odd. I then looked to my left and right and saw my neighbors watching. We all stayed outside mesmerized until it left. I had absolutely No Fear.

A few years afterwards, my younger son who was then about 7, was playing with his best friend, one of my neighbors' son. When my son came home he said to me, "Mom, why didn't you ever tell me about seeing a UFO? Michael's Dad told us that you saw it too!"

6. Here's what John Podesta said in 2002
This morning, Dana Millbank’s story in the Washington Post notes that our
government does not always reveal the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the
truth, and that even the highest leaders of our government don’t always tell the facts
just as they are. That’s why freedom of information is so important, and the
information that is included in the requests that we are discussing is so critical to be
put in front of the American public, so that they can make their own judgements about
the conduct of the program of investigation as well as the facts there that the Air
Force and others have discovered.

"...the information that is included in the requests that we are discussing is so critical..."

WTF??? That is a very powerful statement :nuke:

I often wondered if the papers that Sandy Berger took from the National Archives had something to do with this.

7. How very cool
I've never seen one myself, but I think it's as likely as not that something is out there.

My brother and his friends saw something one night when they were about 12. They watched a bright light (brighter and a little bigger than the stars) go back and forth in the sky kind of slowly for about 5 minutes, then all of the sudden it changed directions again and shot off really fast.
They definitely saw 'something', their eyes were big as saucers when they ran into the house to tell us about it.
They went back outside and stayed for hours trying to see it again.

9. "Fears of an alien invasion created greater alarm in the US than the threat of a Soviet nuclear atta
In January 1979, The New York Times reported that despite repeated, feverish denials, the CIA had indeed investigated the UFO phenomenon: "CIA Papers Detail UFO Surveillance" screamed the headline. The report is said to have so upset the then CIA director, Stansfield Turner, that he reportedly asked his staff: "Are we in UFOs?"

The answer was yes - since the late 1940s, apparently. But exactly how, what, when, why and who remained layered in mystery, leaving grist for the conspiracy mill.

But this year a raft of newly unclassified CIA documents revealed that the remote possibility of alien invasion elicited greater fear than the threat of a Soviet nuclear attack.

More interesting still, the CIA documents show that despite decades of repeated public denials, behind the scenes there raged a series of inter-agency feuds that involved the highest levels of the US government.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=NufKW9Njy88

and there is an investigation showing it was reported

Ohare is probably the one amazing siting which there was a cover up and where people who are trained in aeronautics from mechanics pilots and airtraffic controllers saw it

14. "Each administration has probably tried to figure out how, with the least embarrassment,
they could confess to this whole thing," - Gordon Cooper, NASA Mercury astronaut, from his book, Leap of Faith: An Astronaut's Journey in the Unknown

One of America's first astronauts claims that the government has withheld information that alien spacecraft have visited Earth.

Leroy Gordon "Gordo" Cooper Jr. says the government has "swept under the rug" the truth about unidentified flying objects or UFOs.

color me not surprised.

Fact: unidentified (not fully known or understood) flying objects are seen by some pretty reliable, well trained people.

UFOs, they're not just for us whack jobs anymore.

but that doesn't mean they are extra terrestrial visitors EITHER.

17.  I can only imagine what they think
I always wondered from an aliens point of view what they must think as they see americans and other countries building their cities and dumping their waste , sitting in long lines of traffic in little tin cans that billow out all sorts of pollution and how we build bombs and destroy our only planet that sustains life . They must think we are complete petty damn fools and they wonder what day they will decide to put an end to it all .

21. lots of people have seen UFOs - we should all speak up about it
Edited on Wed Nov-07-07 12:00 PM by donsu

I saw one, early, early morning, in the dark. It was just above tree level and sat there watching me (delivering papers). I sat and look back, then it moved behind the tree and was out of sight. It had a yellow light.

I didn't think it came from outer space. I thought it was secret stuff of our military. I wasn't scared, I was angry.

22. Larry King last night was interesting but no really new info
except from the filmmaker named Fox, IIRC, saying that information about the planet Jupiter is CLASSIFIED by the CIA - WTF??? That really freaked me out and brought back thoughts of "2001: A Space Odyssey" and the Jupiter Project.

The panel did say that more previously classified info will be disclosed to the public starting with the Nov 12 event.

23. I saw three unidentifiable objects hovering then zipping out of sight.
They were hovering right in front of a mountain right after the sun set. I was intrigued. Then, they just, literally, zipped in three different directions, out of sight, in a second.

A friend of mine told of his sighting. In broad daylight, mid-afternoon, he saw a perfectly cylindrical object hovering just off to the right side of the road he was traveling. He convinced himself it was a weather balloon. But, when he pulled over to keep from wrecking, the damn thing totally disappeared. *poof*

24. The FAA guy talked about a Japanese airliner siting of cylindrical objects
similar to what you just described. The Japenese pilot saw two of them and they were picked up on the radar and then disappeared.

I'm convinced that much of this is interdimensionality - that's why they appear and then disappear suddenly. Physicists have been telling us about this for years, but the problem is we don't talk about it - not in schools, not in the media, so only a small percentage of people have read about this.
