Bush beats Nixon's disapproval ratings, BUT...
There is no public will for impeachment.
It can't pass.
We don't have the votes.
We'll make fools of ourselves if we try.

IMPEACHMENT IS OFF THE TABLE GODDAMIT.

(Like we say in Jackpine country,)

Yah, sure, Nancy.

1. Why is the dem leadership so afraid to take Bush on?
64% of the country disapproves of him--fifty percent "strongly" disapprove. I think a good many of them feel he is incompetent and a criminal too, but still Reid and Pelosi are "afraid" to do anything! It's frustrating.

p.s.
A friend of mine in Washington told me (and I can't verify it) that if Dodd isn't the Dem nominee in '08 he will challenge Reid for Majority Leader in '09.

4. Because the Democrats are afraid of being labeled as soft on terror
All the Repubs need to do is say that the Dems are weak on national security and they give Bush whatever he wants.

2. The difference is
That Nixon was not from a rich and powerful family that was part of the power structure of this country.
The BCF has no problems with using that power to protect it's own, and has done so many times.

5. It's outrageous.... There's little coverage yet every day we were subjected
to Clinton hate and raving people on MSNBC calling for his impeachment.

Our Dems have it easy and so does Bush...with the lack of any "in depth coverage" except on our fragile liberal internets.
