just called John Barrow's office (d) GA. He's a raging blue dog, but the office staff seemed interested in imput.

I called asked if Rep Paul was going to be present to vote, and if so how would he vote on HR 333. I was immediately regaled-inindated by a litany of Rep Pauls past votes against the war etc etc. I asked again the same question. he finally said he wasn't sure if Paul would vote, but that if he did it would be against it, because the bill was 'flawed'. I said that I was aware of the futility and shortcomings, but that at this stage of the game it was important that a STRONG message be sent, one that said 'ignore this at your own peril'. The pencil-neck then informed me that I obviously was ignorant of the great things Paul had done in the past, and asked again where I was calling from and didn't I didn't understand that the Bill addressed the wrong person. I took a deep breath and asked him if Paul didn't consider Cheney the main architect and plan manager of the Iraq war? The geek went right back to the first script he read.

I told him that I never missed an election and he could count on me working overtime to defeat Mr. Paul in any future elections, even for dog catcher!

But I always love to call up and tell his flunkies things that make their heads explode. This time I got a woman whom I thought would "die", as she alluded, if she pased my message on to Fortenberry. I told her that was not my problem, and her job was to take my message to him....:evilgrin:

Everyone elses line has been busy, so I think they are getting an earful of voter opinion.
