FUCK RON PAUL re: HR333 impeach Cheney I called and ...

I called asked if Rep Paul was going to be present to vote, and if so how would he vote on HR 333. I was immediately regaled-inindated by a litany of Rep Pauls past votes against the war etc etc. I asked again the same question. he finally said he wasn't sure if Paul would vote, but that if he did it would be against it, because the bill was 'flawed'. I said that I was aware of the futility and shortcomings, but that at this stage of the game it was important that a STRONG message be sent, one that said 'ignore this at your own peril'. The pencil-neck then informed me that I obviously was ignorant of the great things Paul had done in the past, and asked again where I was calling from and didn't I didn't understand that the Bill addressed the wrong person. I took a deep breath and asked him if Paul didn't consider Cheney the main architect and plan manager of the Iraq war? The geek went right back to the first script he read.

I told him that I never missed an election and he could count on me working overtime to defeat Mr. Paul in any future elections, even for dog catcher!

us volunteering for the candidate he believes in. It's Paul's responsibility to alert his people as to what issues will be coming up, how he will vote and why.

That being said, I'm in TOTAL agreement with making a statement with this vote despite it's "flaws". That's always an excuse THEY love use.

about a volunteer representing Biden and the poor guy was old, had diabetes, just gotten out of the hospital with strep throat and was pretty much clueless. My heart went out to him - he was just trying to do what he believed in. So I looked at the people in the Obama article through that filter.

The DC office shouldn't do ANYTHING using Obama's name without authorization and they should know better. So maybe it WAS authorized...

Either way, I think it's unacceptable to try to block another candidate (even Colbert) from being on the ballot.
