Edited on Tue Nov-06-07 02:51 PM by Proud2BAmurkin
Let's say Cheney was removed by the Senate which he wouldn't be. So we give the RePUKES a big boost for 2008 by putting one of the presidential candidates in the VP spot?

BRILLIANT.

3. You know impeachment is the remedy to tyrannical government in the
United States Constitution.

It is in the Constitution SIX times.

8. Cheney broke laws and needs
to be held responsible. There should be no picking and choosing when it comes to upholding the Constitution. Their house of cards needs to fall. The bottom line is he needs to be impeached.

18. Cheney's impeachment wouldn't help them.
It would finally bring all their lies into the light of the media. They would have to cover it. Up until now, they have covered it up like a cat covers it's shit.

Nothing will be done to him or bush. They have gotten away with murdering people and the US Constitution.

9. Who said anything about replacing Cheney?
There is no constitutional requirement to replace a VP once he's impeached. The constitution only provides the means to replace a VP. We already have a clear line of succession even with out a VP so why do we need to replace him?

20. Actually, bush couldn't put anyone in the VP spot without...
the consent of BOTH houses:

Section 2 of the 25th Amendment provides that "Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress."

http://www.archives.gov/national-archives-experience/charters/constitution_amendments_11-27.html

The office could well remain empty until the 2008 election were Cheney to be impeached and removed.
